If there's one thing he complained about, I think it must have been all the Russians in the matchmaking.

Then you hit the tier 5 and 6 stuff and just start banging your head against your desk. Just keep going at it and you will understand.

Last game was fun until the last 10 rounds or so. Massive ping spike for every single person in the game. CS:GO turned into a fucking slideshow. At least we ended up winning that game but holy shit.....so unplayable. Guess the servers shit themselves again >_> I been playing on a smurf and I feel I have been improving quite a lot. The most important thing I have been learning lately is smokes. Honestly never realized how important they are and how easy they are to do as the map architecture helps you out a lot as to where to throw them. If anyone is curious about them, this imgur album has been really helpful for me. http://lipovitan.imgur.com/ I have been lowering my mouse sens a ton lately as well. I recently read some stuff about raw input being more accurate. Dunno, everywhere I read up on it seems to have differing opinions but I dunno if it seems better yet. Also got my DPI down to 800 and my sens to 1.9. Probably still high to some people but it's way lower than I used to have it and it's amazing how much easier my shots are now.

Is it me or are smoke grenades completely and utterly broken(as in powerful), along with creating unimaginable complexity. I fucking love smoke grenades and do stuff like purchase galils instead of AKs if I can't afford a smoke grenade. Is this incorrect? Am I over rating smoke grenades? I just don't have enough knowledge to make a informed decision on this, I don't really know the difference between a mediocre smoke and a good smoke(the bad ones are completely obvious the moment you throw them haha). I would highly appreciate opinions on this.

Raw input doesn't really matter if you have 6/11 windows sens and the windows accel off.

as for sens, I play 400dpi/1.3 sens so you can where the lowest people stand

But there is something I would like to ask someone more experienced. I would highly appreciate opinions on this. Smokes are a mandatory buy outside of full ecos, and yeah you should buy galil/famases with smokes on at least some guys. They are not "broken", they just are the most powerful "strategic" tool, as they allow you to reduce the number of angles to check as T when pushing, and totally stop rushes as CT (going through smokes is pretty suicidal, especially with the current version that blinds you forever after you've crossed it), on top of obviously obstructing vision wherever you please to allow you to move around safely and unseen. As an example, when pushing B on inferno, you would get utterly wrecked by a crossfire from site + truck if you don't smoke the CT side, while if you do you only have to face the site to check potential CT spots. That said, don't focus too much on fancy smoke/flashbang throws, just learn the very basic ones and focus a lot on improving your aim and crosshair placement if you want to improve.

It's impressive how anti-fun this game becomes when you're playing against hackers. And it's also impressive how bad Valve is at shutting it down.

-> http://www.dailydot.com/esports/cevo-match-fixing-netcode-guide-ibuypower/ maybe a bit exaggerating but the overall circumstances become clear. This is how HLTV handled it (forum post, was obviously not worthy of news lol) ~ remember that Richard Lewis is not really liked on HLTV for several reasons and that the forum seems to be not moderated at all: -> http://www.hltv.org/?pageid=18&threadid=647150 here's a statement from two guys involved talking about it on summ1t, a popular cs go channel: -> then a reaction of Richard Lewis on soundcloud -> http://soundcloud.com/richardlewisreports/lies-conflicts-of-interest-cevo and finally: the game itself -> http://www.twitch.tv/playcevo/b/560264158 so all in all there's no clear evidence of match fixing but some very shady things going on and some conflict of interest which should not be tolerable in sports (esports or not).

My aim is fantastic as I used to play quake pretty seriously, really all FPS games share 90% of the same concepts, I am rapidly learning the game by trial and error which is probably the reason I am silver 3... Just doing basic rifle play at the moment, no AWPing because I am not really that type of player(fighting AWPs with rifles is actually really fun IMO, huge emphasis on movement and prediction). Most of my main problems come from me not knowing exactly how fast recoil decays, and of course panicking. What do you mean by crosshair placement? I feel like its mostly situational at what vertical level you want your crosshair at. Then there is stuff like positioning your crosshair slightly outside of a corner when guarding it to account for your reaction time. assuming you hear them running, and no one walks at silver 3 rofl. Other wise just as close as possible. I watched some tutorial by a pro on how to clear corners, so I am confident in that stuff.
