If shit like that stays in the game I think you'll see the 1.6 community die off instead of migrate over to the game. There's a reason so many 1.6 players didn't switch over to cs:s when it came out, and that reason was dumb shit like this.

Thats exactly why I never thought games like CS or CoD were good for competition, because they in fact are based on realism. However, the realism and random elements in CS blend the disparities between skill levels. This makes the game more accessible to new players and ultimately more popular.

I know, I am one of them :D Never liked cs:s, 1.6 still requires the highest skill and probably will for a long time

- We are also giving out additional keys to the top 500 players of CS:GO. - To reward the most active players, this week we are giving Beta access to the top 7000 active players around the world in CS:S and CS 1.6 - We also want to include the community at large so we are reaching out to prominent community sites and giving them keys to distribute to their communities over the coming weeks. - To help us select the next batch of players, we will be releasing a short survey in a few weeks that you can fill out and get on the list for a Beta key. So hoping i get a key somehow! doubt id be in the 7000 top active players though!!
