I don't think I've ran into any hackers left (I'd say I've played around 30-ish matches so far). I had one player in one of my games (when I still didn't have a rank) that had pretty good K/A/D stats compared to the rest, but upon looking up the demo I didn't find anything that would indicate that he was cheating. Mostly likely, I'd say that it was an experienced player who smurfed
Same for me. Guy was fishy (knew where we were etc...) but didn't look aimhack (like in the old cs) so i think he was just good. So there's no website or hacker thread on forum to see ban history ?
That's mostly what i'm looking for.
+ Show Spoiler +You say Demo played Q3 ? :p

They're called demo's in the CS community aswell. Steam lists previous VAC bans on the user's profile (but VAC bans only work per game, ie. if you got VAC banned during 1.6 you can still play GO).
Anyway Windwolf I don't mean to be an absolute dick but if you ran into a hacker in Silver 2 i'd eat my hat.

Oh ok. Thank you all for your answers.
You can eat it because you can find hackers in non competitive match too :p :p
Do people know a good casual server with random stupid map (not aim map. Just random map a plenty). I found one but it's always empty
Oh and another question. I see deathmatch and FFA mentioned sometime but it's always teamplay. Is there a REAL deathmatch mode in this game ? (i saw a zombie mode so maybe there's a deathmatch one)
|
There's a real deathmatch mode, but most serious people play it for aim practice. And if you're above ak rank, you usually end up first or second (if there's another AK+) of any deathmatch you enter on an official server.

Oh cool ! Where can i find it ? I search quite a lot but it's always in teams. And i'm not AK... i'm just mid silver. I'm not serious I want to casually frag people but no one plays Q3 so i have to play CS

Just have to use the server browser and pray, you can filter for "dm_" maps or even "deathmatch" as a keyword (and filter results to enable "has users playing" and sort by ping).
(I think proper FFA DM maps are under "dm_" anyway, haven't played for a bit so not 100%)

I'll try dm_maps thank you. I tried the deathmatch keyword and ffa, ended up on dust playing 6v6 a few times. I'll try that tonight. Thank you.

Competitive is decent. Except for players being assholes.
Lost 5-16 but my team consisted of a 3man clan. 2 of them did well their 3rd was absolute last on the team but they were blaming us all game and cursing on the mic. Had to resort to muting halfway through match, really didn't want to.
Last round they all friendly fire me and my buddy down 2v3 and stop when we're about to die. We retaliate and kill them and get timeouts from doing ranked. We are new to the game and didn't know there was gonna be a punishment. Really frustrated now from that whole experience. Put up with them for 40min only to get a timeout for defending ourselves.

That's why you stack with friends in this game, so that you know that they won't complain when you aren't doing that great

People always seem to have bad experiences when Qing solo but that oddly wasnt the case for me. I've rarely been in games where people are that bad at all (from starting rank to my Master Guardian(s) level now) even when im the nub on the bottom. Guess im lucky

Well that was a quick run of competitive matches. Never again, if I ever play it will be for custom games and casual stuff.
Insanely absurd that you can fight vs 5man premade teams when you're team is all randoms. How and why is that even possible? Any game in their right mind knows to stop that from happening. The enemy team wasn't even nice about it and said to suck it up and to make my own 5man team instead. Like what? How is that a response? If I wanted to play 5v5 premades I would look for one. I wanted to be able to play alone, apparently I can't with how they match teams. At any point I can be matched against a 3-5man premade team with full coordination if Valve see's fit.
Played CS for over 5yrs and 1.6 was my childhood. CS:GO is not any bit fun compared to that. Heck the servers hosted by a 16yr kid in his moms basement using a random balancing mod has a better time balancing teams than competitive through Valve.

They are also willing to drop weapons to you if you need it
@Zooper31: Yeah, it's annoying when you SoloQ and go up against a 5-stack.

That alone actually having a chance of happening kills any motive I had at all at trying to get into competitive. Guess I'll stick to scoutknives and other fun maps.

Well when i'm playing fun with my cs section (AK,Gold4 and gold1) i'm always last and (being silver4) i'm always getting insulted for it by the 5th player (because of my friend rank, we are placed against player that tend to kill me before i can even click lol). You will get used to it.
CS has been filled with unfriendly people from the dawn of time and you report for misbehavior 1match out of 3 or something. Occasionally you come by nice people but that's kind of rare.

I rather play with nice noobs then unfriendly pros. We should make a fun TL premade team ^^

I'm back playing, who wants to stack

I'm at 330 wins all done around DMG-Double AK and I find it best to solo queue. When I queue with a group of 3 or 4 I find it the worst, almost always 2-3 players with badge+ vs all AK and such. Sure they could do a new queue for 5s but atm I'm happy when I hit a clan of 4-5, it's more often than not an easy game.
What I would rather have is a solo queue only matchmaking with prerequisite of like 100 wins in the actual queue or something so there would be almost no cheaters / new accounts etc...
|
Wow, all these bad experiences. I solo queue most of the time and I find such circumstances nowhere as frequently as you make out. It happens, but only rarely. In fact, a lot of the times, the best teamwork has come from a group of solos. In such teams between people who never met each other before, I'll see them freely giving each other drops. And winning between a 5 man team and a group of randoms is about 50/50, which is about right. You are complaining about being in a group of randoms. Seriously, nobody on either side wants to hear it. You are making your own team worse by complaining. They are right. So suck it up.
Strangely enough, some of the worse is when you are grouped with a team of 2 or 3, since for whatever reason, they seem to think this gives them both the ability to give calls and endlessly complain about teamwork. But really, my experience has been nowhere near as bad as you make out.
