Just a heads up, I randomly added maybe 10-15 people from the TLGO steam group to my friend list over the weekend, just whoever happened to be online at the time. My steamid is bLitz and thank you to whomever accepted! Keep me in mind if you're looking for a capable player to party with :D GL HF see you in the game!

Legendary eagle master is the highest rank I've encountered, and he ended up top fragging in that game using deagle only. On that note, I played with a cheater for the first time too. Our team was down 13-9 on cache and a french guy on our side decided that he didn't wanna lose so the aimbot and negev came out. What do you guys do in that situation? TK the cheater and possibly get locked out of competitive for a bit? Try to kick vote the cheater? Or just report him and graciously accept victory in a game you should've lost? It's comforting to know the turn around time from reporting to banning is only about 3 hours. If you report and kick then overwatch may not have any rounds of him hacking.

My aim is improving quite a bit after not playing any computer FPS for like 9 years but i'm still really rusty T_T ' What's the technique people use to shoot strafe-shooters? They just jiggle back and forth and I cant seem to get a headshot.. is the best practice to aim at a fixed location and wait for his head to go through your crosshair?

It seems odd, but trying to keep your crosshairs on a moving target in the open is actually one of the hardest skills in CS. It's much better to use a wall to your advantage - pop out, snap a burst, pop back behind the wall. Wall peeking is 100% stronger than strafing in the open. If you're caught in the open, STRAFE, don't CROUCH. Stationary targets are immensely easy to kill, unless your spray is tournament-level and you can one-burst everyone.

If you're caught in the open, STRAFE, don't CROUCH. Stationary targets are immensely easy to kill, unless your spray is tournament-level and you can one-burst everyone. To quote myself and expand upon the bolded section: If you watch professional CS:GO players, they're literally never NOT behind a wall to the direction directly in front of them. Never move down the middle of a hallway - move so that the corner or wall obstructs view of you from the angle that enemy players are likely to come from. No matter where you are, you want to be out of LOS of the places that your enemies are likely to be. Further, you want to always move with your crosshairs held directly on this corner, at head height, as you move. Ever spec a pro player? Notice how little snap-shooting they have to do? That's because if your xhairs are already where someone's head will be when you enter a room, all you have to do is click - it's super easy, and you remain minimally exposed. Running into a room and trying to snap-shoot anyone who might be there is a recipe for disaster.

Started playing competitive mode but I have a question. Is it generally accepted that people berate other people if they think they are not playing well? It just strikes me as a really counter-productive thing to do because it's not like calling someone a noob is going to make them better, I was trying to listen for footsteps the other day and some guy started telling me what to do over the mic, he might have been right but I couldnt hear footsteps. Seriously, if your going to berate people or dictate how exactly they should play, get a team or some friends that want you to do it. If you have critical info like bomb locations or enemy locations then be clear and say it, but if your just going to be like "oh my god, noob what are you doing *sigh*" then you aren't helping. I guess this gets worse higher up the ranking you go. Just to be clear, I don't mind advice but bashing or information overload is really annoying if it's directed at me or others.

It actually gets better as you get higher, not worse. My advice would be to do what I do - literally never play with Pugs. I ran a CAL-Main CS 1.6 team back in the day, and was able to get several of them back playing. When you're 5queueing with friends, the game is a totally different and more fun experience. No random internet kiddies talking smack all the time!

The people I've been getting matched with have been very well-mannered so far, you should be fine. And the farther up you go, the more people realize the value of teamwork and if they need to criticize you, they'll do so more constructively.
