Is it possible to customize cs:go like it was in 1.6: when you point to a player, you can see his player name in the lower left?

It's hard to reckognize players from the distance, because the overhead player name tags are too small.

What I miss the most actually is the headshot animation from 1.6. THe way people fell when you gave them a heady was the best.

I use the 'stable' (static?) one, which doesn't change it's shape, size and whatnot. I have also made it a bit smaller, so basically it's the same size as the original crosshair. Unless you have reduced the size of it.

You can change the classic crosshair color but not the default's one as far as I know. And yeah headshot animation was so good and rewarding in 1.6

Are you using CS:GO crosshair or the original one? There is no red color for the new crosshair.

what worked for me:

cl_crosshaircolor 5

edit: as said above only with the classic crosshair, and 5 uses the colors you set via those 3 color commands.

Put this also cl_crosshaircolor 5 that makes it so that you can have custom color crosshair(atleast works for me with that)

Blutack on your screen. It doesn matter though cos the guns arent accurate when they arent scoped anyway.

Scout is pretty acurate unscoped. But yeh bluetac or wetting a small piece of paper and putting it on is the way forward. I wouldn't reccomend doing it tho :D

Pro tip: use always fire + scope to shoot in center of screen :p And knowing when the center is just requires some experience, after some time you can judge where the middle of the screen is by the distance of your weapon model.

Sticking dot in middle of screen is way to 80's
