Thorin criticized a swedish-written article which criticized CSGO's lack of female broadcasting talent hired for majors and large tournaments. Muffloe somehow managed to read that as "calling (all) swedes deranged gender politics zealots" which frankly takes a fair amount of intellectual gymnastics. Presumably Thorin is not under the impression that all of Sweden got together to write the article. Edit: Looks like Muffloe reread the tweet correctly  | ||

If you feel like he's been harsh toward Sweden or that he "generalizes", I wouldn't take it personally, he only deals in nuance when it comes to games, and gets out of his way to offend. | ||

Richard Lewis is an excellent host, one of the better ones that I know for CSGO, people like Redeye and Sirscoots are just as good if not better then him but they aren't that easy to get. With some more experience I can see people like Sadokist developing into more of a host.I think Richard Lewis also has great (Youtube) content and his contributions to exposing IBP and other scandals are certainly quite nice. Guy is an absolute asshole as well but the content is good as well. However if each of these two are just a pain to work or when you have to assosciate yourself with these people with then its quite easy to understand why an organization would not want them anymore. For the record, I quite like having the combo on the desk but they more then often overpower the others and there is a thing as recycled jokes(NA sucks, Fox fans lmao) or too much banter. Ask yourself whether having Richard on the desk is worth him being involved in drama at events he attends and the answer is probably no. Its not even about that drama happens, its about how its handled. That being said, I really like RL, but he is absolutely terrible at handling criticism and at managing his twitter. He should just stop answering people on twitter altogether as it time and time again fucks him up. He should take example on Thorin on that matter as Thorin really doesnt care all that much about people hating him. edit: Well fuck I forgot this was my 6000th post. | ||

Yes, he doesn't care about the the hate, he embraces it. That's why he keeps hating and shitting on stuff he doesn't like in his notorious way. There's nothing wrong with stating your professional opinion, but do it in a professional way. I think Thorin is a perfect example why e-sports journalism isn't taken seriously.
