Can anyone give me some advice on my build? Going for a Scion FlameBlast HP build. Going Wand + Shield.
Burn Damage Scion HP
I am worried about not getting Vaal Pact, but it's 12 points to get there, with nothing else on the way, so i figure centering around Burn Damage would mitigate some of the reflect damage. Also, im not sure if Eldricht Battery is worth it, but i figure it may help me get another Aura up and running. Thanks.

es range is pretty huge for shields. 490-635 for this particular one and probability wise probably a 75 percentile roll. still a suffix open for int or another resist
So u got the best wand and the best ES shield in domination now :D
Btw if u had a 250-280pdps 1h can save for me? I'm working on it and should have enough for it soon enough I think.
Also if you're running stuff again hit me up so I can get back the flask

Unnecessary rant: good god the 1week race is about to end. 3 potential seller I contacted were always online, but refused to trade because they're busy racing for the whole week ;_;
Hype for new season xD ( gonna start soon after right?) . Gonna save the rewards for the new league I think.
Gotta be racing from the start this time so I won't miss out...

Yes I plan to do the new season as soon as it starts, is it starting on Wednesday after the patch? Anyone know if we are getting a 4 month race?

What's harder to hit ? Flaring or Emperor ? I also saw a Tyranical Celebration Incision mace for 4ex only, but the base it's a lvl 64(or 63 ? ) with 40% stun duration so not really a good base.
Or is it =/ ?

emperor is by far harder to hit than flaring but does not offer more marginsl stats compared to nextintier
i have a 50c bid on it atm but dont have the currency in bank lol

Shadow, need help. Would appreciate some help.
I'm dual wielding one handed weapons. I would appreciate it if you guys could tell me how to move forward, what stats to prefer, what kind of options I have for my build and I would also appreciate it if you gave me some advice on using my scrolls + orbs. Act 2, currently rolling over content, so I'm curious if I should save my scrolls and orbs for latter so that I have an easier time gearing when I'm a higher level, also I'm worried that my Eatheral knives are actually doing almost as much dmg as my double strike on a single target which shouldn't happen (?).
(Look at my build please). Am I doing to little damage with my double strike because I fucked up my passives or is my gear just slightly behind (My Daggers are pretty old.)
Also one more thing + Show Spoiler +How do different stats effect damage. I mean 50% physical damage looks absolutely OP, but how do these stats compare to critical strike and base damage. 10-15 + 50% physical damage = 15-22.5 ?

Go south. There are very handy one handed/dual wielding nodes. As well as life and some juicy life/evasion nodes on the way. The one dex node at the start and mental acuity are probably wasted points.
For damage: They work multiplicative with each other which means %physical and crit multiplier suck if you have low base damage. So having an up-to-date weapon is pretty important for a melee. It also means that going only base dmg + crit is not that good because crit damage will scale better off of high damage. Going for % physical is essential in a physicla crit build. On another note: Daggers are generally good for crit builds but it's hard to level with them as it is difficult to get a good one. One handed weapons in general have lesser base dmg. Daggers have even less base dmg. They can also roll pretty much everything (including spellcasting adds) which means the chances to find a good dagger get even lower. Combining this with the need of having an up-to-date weapon _and_ the need of two of those weapons is just... + You won't have much crit chance/multiplier while leveling because you lack nodes/specific gear and be also in dire need for other stats. + In the end game good daggers will be very expansive because of the above mentioned facts.

what are the typical methods to deal with Physical Reflect for a Physical Crit Split Arrow build?
Using Iron Reflexes which results in less than tool tip 20% DR. Think it goes up to around 35% if I use Grace which would get up to 47% with 3 Endurance Charges, but I haven't tried running Grace yet. Thought of refunding those nodes and going for dodge + Evasion and seeing how that compares.
Considering using an Elemental Bow to switch to but haven't tried that yet to see how much it affects damage & clear speed.
haven't tried Enduring Cry + Immortal Call on CWDT gem yet
I'm relying on 7 Charge Blood Dance for life regen & 2% life leech so don't think Vaal Pact is an option and it's a big SP investment just for for Vaal pact.
Right now on Physical Reflect maps, I just stagger Split Arrow volleys to make sure that if I crit, I don't have a follow up volley already on the way. Worse reflect crit I've had was 25-50% against a Physical Reflect mob. Pretty sure the Physical Reflect aura added on to the Physical Reflect map mod.

You need more life leech. Use a lvl cwdt ( dmg trigger around 1/3 of your hp pool should be ok) + immortal call + increase duration.
If you can't afford to get more leech or spare sockets then chain iron skin granite with increase charge gain affix. Bring 3 whenever you're in a reflect map and you should be perfectly fine from physical reflect.

well thats your problem. Even without enduring cry, getting increased duration is probably enough to save you from shotgunning yourself, assuming you play mildly intelligently on phys reflect maps.
Honestly though even crappy gear should get you quite a bit more phys mitigation. If you don't have unwavering, drop IR and just go for ondar's guile instead for some serious mitigation (note that reflect rolls YOUR accuracy against YOUR evade chance so you can calculate exactly what your evade chance will be).

Are they still tuning the graphics engine?
Last time I tried the game, it was nigh unplayable even on really low settings on the HD 4000 graphics, whereas Diablo, TL2 and even Bioshock Infinite, who all look much much better, run rather well.

Cartoons are easy to render
|
Ondar's Guile won't do much for you if you're crit. You need enough accuracy to get 85%+ to hit vs mobs, so even with 20k evasion, you wouldn't get 50% to evade your own reflect. You also have to worry about getting your accuracy too high, which involves a lot of number crunching. Iron Reflex with Grace + Determination should be easier, and obviously Immortal Call.
|
I guess it depends how much accuracy you have as well.
2.5K accuracy (should be over 85% chance to hit until reasonably high maps I believe) and 18,000 evasion is over 50% chance to evade projectile reflect (which is better than his previous "best case"). Yes 18K evasion is kinda a lot but jades or something. Unfortunately endurance charges don't scale quite as attractively in this scenario but since we are recommending that you immortal call them away with frightening regularity, that shouldn't matter.
IR/Unwavering with grace and/or determination is definitely attractive as well.

Team fortress 2 runs amazingly on any shit computer that is years old and yet it looks "good" because valve chose an artistic design that is easy as fuck to render and has nothing to do with realism. Its cartoony and it works. The textures involved are a joke.
Torchlight 2 and D3 did exactly the same thing. In D3's case at least, probably so that it worked with consoles.
PoE works really hard for a gritty realistic feel and that includes seriously difficult to render things like dynamic lights with reflective surfaces etc. Monsters that die leave blood smears that actively reflect other things. PoE actually renders water (something D3 studiously avoids). Etc. Also some pretty hefty textures in some places but on low settings i'd assume those get simplified.
Obviously it's also an indie engine which means that it may not be the most optimized thing ever but I can't really speak to that.

I suppose you're right. I was just a bit confuzzled by how much better Bioshock Infinite looks while keeping much better frame rates.
Just done downloading, can anyone recommend a good beginner's guide? Playing on EU (Domination).

pretty sure PoE is primarily a CPU bound game
