Cold roll > bad mana roll > no need too bad accuracy > worst
considering it's only ilvl59 %120 physical is kinda good. attack speed > lowest possible roll and the flat damage roll is kinda good
but it's only 2 socket and there is no link it's a decent bow might be useful for a while but it really doesn't worth much. 4-5 chaos i guess.

4-5 chaos pretty generous imo, would give one tops :o

From what I understand, it doesn't work quite that way.
The DOT isn't a projectile, so it doesn't benefit from projectile nodes or point blank.. Global "increased damage" modifiers and "increased chaos damage" modifiers, like Le Heup of All and quality added chaos, will affect it. Conc effect and AoE damage boosting nodes should affect it too, I think.
Edit: Guess GGG decided counting it as a projectile makes sense. Hmm. I kinda disagree, but c'est la vie. Consistency would be nice...are searing bond totems going to benefit from totem damage now at least?

They said specifically that poison arrow benefits from Projectile damage =) " for example, increased area damage and increased projectile damage will both apply to the poison clouds from Poison Arrow, as it fills an area and is an effect of a projectile."

anyone have a build projection for the new lighting skill they're adding? I've found myself quite an accumulation of spell dmg gear and am eager to try it out. :D

I'm going to test Storm Call with my trapper, though he is no where near end game so I don't know how effective it will be.

How do I stop Corrupting Blood from doing so much damage to me? Its like the only thing that scares the hell out of me right now.

Technically it is consistent when you consider rain of arrows also works this way. Bow attacks would suck if they didn't benefit from projectile damage.

The best way is to get a staunching flask.

Storm Call won't really do anything for how incredibly variable lightning damage is, I don't think. It's 6-109 damage at rank 8, pretty similar to a rank 7 Arc or Shock Nova (ofc subject to change before live release) but that puts it on track for roughly 25-450 damage at rank 20. Just as bad as the other lightning skills. I really kinda dislike the variability in this game. Maybe I'm still salty over the massive discharge RIP but especially when GGG doesn't deign to give us details about mobs and their skills (so we can't even know the max damage of certain monster skills until it's too late) it seems like things are just a crapshoot a lot of the time.

Endless Ledge is more fun than expected. Died to surprise pack of crit dischargers, but it still beats any normal race. Plus you don't have to worry about maphacks!
On another note, Grats ZoRoXo for crushing Scion.
|
The plan with Stormcall is generally to hit them with 4-5 Calls per zap which is pretty likely to average out to the right amount of damage. How much damage you actually do is obviously still uncertain at this stage.
Also, Lightning damage is actually substantially MORE powerful due to it's variation because on the big hits you can get nice shocks on mobs that you wouldn't otherwise shock properly.

On another note, Grats ZoRoXo for crushing Scion. Yeah, it's pretty fun when you get good zones. Thought I'd win 100% as long as I kept getting chill zones with non charging melee mobs. Last zone I had ele weakness necros with cold snappers that would freeze me, and 2 simple white lightning warpers would almost oneshot me if I had ele weakness on me, almost died 4 times trying to rush it so decided to chill. Lost #1 as 26,90% lol, but still best endless ledge I've ever gotten. Think I only hit 25 barely once before.
|
Is there any pattern/knowledge in these races, or each zone is truly completely random (unique boss aside)?
Also, what's the best way to start for ranger, shadow or duelist? Rusted sword cleave/reave is pathetic, split arrow is terrible... Ice nova isn't bad, does it beat club + ground slam? I think there was also freezing pulse in there. I'm probably missing something, as people leveled up really fast in the first few minutes.
|
Seems completely random to me. The bosses are always the same, so should always keep back in your mind that the lvl16 zone is perpertus, and unlike sarns you might face him when your running southwestish so you don't see far on your screen.. Probably the most scary boss that you can face in 1hour race. Since you probably can't rush far enough to the late 1shot bosses.
I cleaved in that race whole last season, and it was not good then, it's worse now so... For non spectral throw classes I'd say ground slam is probably the most solid. Pretty much impossible to go full melee since there's no guarantied rng so you have shit resist all race long.
|
PA + RoA is easy mode anyway, but the first three levels were painful. I found an image of the provisions and apparently there's a Maul in there, which should be fine until the first decent bow drop.
Also, do Scions simply get Spectral Throw as a bonus? I thought everyone had the same start (which also means that Shadow is just as easy as Ranger, but you get way more points due to lack of competition).
|
Why do they have to do EL when I'm at work. =(
|
Just had guardian angel chris watching over me in the 2hour race. Fairgoves antishock hat from Brutus, honourhome resist/ele dmg helmet from Merveil, limbsplit from a random white spider right before spider boss at 18-19, then doudres damning (something spell caster gloves) from Alira.
Fairgoves helped me break new vaal solo nomod record for me at 62 mins, also saved my life when Vaal felt like trolling with triple laser

I just died again to a disconnect and I would love to know how this keeps happening to me? It's the second time in a week that I've died to this and it's getting very frustrating.
It's not just a desync, it's an actual disconnect. I log out and the game kills me anyway, with desync you can at least hit /oos and it's no problem, but here it's just the game killing me for absolutely no reason.
My connection was fine I could instantly log back in but my char was still dead...

Don't know what is causing it but I used to have them pretty frequently but now quite a bit less, no advice on how to fix them though.
