Remote mine Poison Arrow should be a thing now. Get a +3 bow, empower for another possible +2, and you have a 1000+ base DoT. 50% more from remote mine 70% more from concentrated effect 40% more damage from vulnerability (less on bosses?) +162% mine damage from the tree +77% projectile damage Total of +235% damage (3350 base), times 1.5 * 1.7 * 1.4, for a cool 12k chaos DoT. Alternatively, you can do it with trap instead of mine, for somewhere around 10k damage but probably more convenience and bear traps + fire traps + poison arrow for insane damage + root. I guess I better get started =) Edit: It seems like using quality Shock Nova + Ele Prolif would be a nice boost once everything is covered in poison. | ||

Map Bosses now have 60% reduced curse effect (up from 50%). Act bosses now have 70% reduced curse effect (up from 40%). Rogue Exiles now have 50% reduced curse effect (up from 0%). | ||

I think Descent Champions might be the most fun thing since ever. Also I think it might be the most EV+ event as far as points/time goes. I usually have been placing 25-80th consistently in races lately this season and I got nearly 2x the points from the Desc:Champ race than like 2x 1 hour solo races would usually give me. It's also SO much fun. | ||

Seems like almost everyone that played duelist switched over to scion. Me and helmann only 2 duelists on the first two descent pages. Found a rare version of the start sword in the first zone (64% ipd some cold roll) that I used up until merveil zone, there I alched a boarding axe with 68 ipd and lightning roll that I used to the end of the race. Rng gon rng, but demis keep tasting sweet! | ||

I ended up with Quill Rain + Split Arrow + Arcitic Breath + Chain + GMP + Cast on Crit. Never dwelled into LA builds, can the mini-AoE Crit? I choose splitarrow because of three reasons: 1. LoH with split+gmp+chain is just awesome 2. The mana consumption releative to projectiles is nice 3. More hits, more crits The 1. point is under the assumption of being Bloodmagic tho. If LA's mini-AoE can crit(and proc CoC) then the 3. point would be irrelevant. Looking for more feedback like this :D | ||

Those additional three hits can crit though; that is why the skill is better than split arrow. LA only works if you have a large mass of enemies that all die at the same time so the projectiles can bounce around properly. | ||

If you are gonna use split arrow then you don't need GMP (though I understand you want it for your arctic breaths). TBH what we found most effective was a setup with Split Arrow/Cast on Crit/As many EK's as fit/Life leech (if needed). Swapping out to Split Arrow/Cast on Crit/Chain/As many Arcs as fit for Phys Reflect maps. He's using tabula rasa though which probably isn't that reasonable for you. However, you can still have 2 5Ls (chest/bow) and then weapon swap for a 3rd 5L for single target if you wish. You definitely get the most procs with GMP/LA/Chain. The problem is that EK is BY FAR the best damage spell, and its not even remotely close. Quill rain gives your EK so much range it's nuts (might be TOO much range for nemesis lol). EK gets RAPED by being linked to GMP/Chain. Split arrow lets you drop GMP and at that point its generally better to just cast 2 EK's over linking chain from what I can tell, although I haven't tested Split/Chain/EK yet. Once you go GMP/Chain, using split arrow is pretty bad so just use LA instead. At that point yeah arctic breath is pretty cool. Your damage is probably mildly questionable though (at least compared to EK which is hilariously powerful even if you do use GMP chain. Which as mentioned are so bad for EK). | ||
