I'm feeling strangely positive because the 8-2 became a wake-up call, and our current group of players needed that kick up the ass to realise we lost 2 of our best players and they all need to step up. After 6 years we finally have a ballsy, talented keeper in Szeszny, the cry for a goalkeeper is finally over. Mertesacker - Vermaelen is a world class pairing, and with no Cesc and Nasri Wilshere and Ramsey can grow to be giants and to be honest the pair of them will play with more heart than Cesc and Nasri ever will. Fingers crossed Van Persie hits god-mode and stays fit, grabs us 30 goals. After all that we might win something, and Arsene can finally smile again. ...omg i just realised we will see Adebayor playing against us, for Tottenham. That's fucking disgusting.

After his celebration in front of the Arsenal fans for Man City 2 years ago, does that really surprise you? Adebayor was always going to be a player that looked out for his own well-being, and a move to Tottenham is definitely good for both him and for Spurs considering that they really needed a good striker last year.

I mean disgusting as in... how much more can a player do to be hated by a club?? He's gonna need to wear a bullet proof vest playing at the emirates

He was incredible when played in chelsea's reserve team, and had a great year in swansea last season (or half a year, i don't remember). GL to this guy. I've never even heard this name before he signed with Roma, but some guys on another forum said really positive things about him as well. This is a quite interesting signing. I haven't seen an awful lot of Pjanic, but what I've seen was pretty impressive. He's still young too, so hopefully he can turn into something great. :D Overall it's been a decent mercato for Roma. Some young talents (Bojan, Lamela, Pjanic, Borini, Valdes), a brilliant new goalkeeper (Stekelenburg) that we got for free (6 million euro ). Then there are some decent players I don't really like; Heinze, Gago, Kjaer and Osvaldo. So quite a decent amount of new blood. On the other hand, we lost Doni, Vuci, Mexes, Menez and Riise. Vuci and Mexes hurt especially much, and not just because they were awesome players. Both of them had great status in the club (Mexes could've become a Roma legend) but left to play for two of the arch-rivals in Serie A. >_<Anyways, now that we're already out of the international leagues, I hope we can at least have a great domestic season. ^__^ If Luis Enrique can just bury the hatchet with Totti and stop being an idiot...

He's gonna need to wear a bullet proof vest playing at the emirates I don't think he did it intentionally with the desire to hurt Arsenal though - Spurs were probably the only team willing to pay his wages and the only team high-profile enough for him to join. At the end of the day, Adebayor is simply a professional who doesn't care much about the desires of any group of fans. He certainly isn't alone though - I'm sure many other players would have made the same decision in his position.

In total they spent 485 million pounds on players ( 548 million euro ). Whcih is 120 more than last season ( 135 in euro's ). All English top clubs ( manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal ) spent more than 50 million pound each. These 5 clubs are responsible for 66% of total expenditures. These stats all come from Deloitte.
