Villareal placed 4th in La Liga last season. :p http://www.zonalmarking.net/2011/08/29/barcelona-5-0-villarreal-tactics/ That's a pretty scary system Barca is now capable of deploying. With their possession (75% in this game), they don't really need a bunch of true defenders... imagine this group with Villa in for Pedro and Xavi for Alcantara. Man U beat Arsenal 8-2 Arsenal finished 4th last season.. Man City beat Tottenham 5-1 they finished 3rd and 5th respectively.. flawed logic.. not saying the SPL isnt a 2 horse race, it is and probably will be for a while..but its just a matter of teams that can spend vs teams that cant spend at the moment.. to a large extent and frankly Barca and Real are probably a cut above the top tier english teams aswell theyre just that good its not so much the fault of spanish teams for being poor as it is Barca and Real just being ridiculous at the moment.. Man United is really the only team in europe at the moment it seems (maybe maybe Man City they need to still play a bit more) that can really give them a real hardcore go and prove they are at the same level..

Hipothetically, following this trend, a team could sign every good goalkeeper or even most of the team stars in La Liga, then sell them again with this kind of contract and win ezpz.

Is this even legal in other leagues? Because it should not be anywhere. Apparently this is just an offer. Bayern officials say they won't consider selling him for less than 40 million € (~25 million pounds, I think?)

This transfer window has been very unappealing for me. Their style of play is beautiful, so I guess I will cheer for Manchester United now, same style except they kick the ball instead of passing it 4 times in the box.

Bayern do not need the money, they would not sell him for 40 million € if they don't have a good substitute. And Dortmund won't sell Götze yet, I am sure Arsenal would have been interested.
