Nobody likes to lose their best players who are working in the established system. They wouldnt have offered a doubled up contract otherwise. (they wouldve just flirted with making the offer to get some transfer cash leverage, because him outright rejecting it makes him a cheaper buy.) That having been said though the guy wants to leave they have no choice and theyll still be a solid league team. Maybe the money does go to some european pedigree and Dortmund can be a force. Would be nice to see.

Kagawa was planning for a move to the Premier League all along and those in charge at Dortmund expected it: spending 17 million on Reus makes a lot more sense now. Dortmund fans should still respect him for what he has done for the club, show some grace ffs. Who knows, the move to England might bite him in the end, while Dortmund should be well off without him next season. The Dortmund team worked well without Kagawa when he had a long-time injury last season and without Sahin this season, I really don't think individual players are that important.

On another note, Totti played his 500th Serie A game today and celebrated that by scoring 2 goals. 215 in total now in the league, which means only two more to go and then he'll only have Piola and Nordahl in front of him in the all-time goalscoring table. On the other hand, Roma still only got 2-2 and therefore cannot reach european play next season anymore.
