Advantage Chelsea. 45 minutes to go and "the best team in the world" are losing to 6th place in epl. If Chelsea win, after the silly comments about city and utd's freak performance in the Europe being a reflection on the epl will be pretty dumb.

Away goal rule. One of their goals is in Camp Nou whereas both of barca's goals are at home.

No it will mean they won 2 legs against better opposition. That doesnt absolve the other English teams of their failures in Europe. Did it occur to you that its usually the odd one out that can be considered a "freak" performance ?

Damn Ramires! fuck!
go barçaaaaaa

Goals scored away count for more, Chelsea scored 1 at home and 1 away, Barca scored 2 at home.

If both teams have scored the same amount of away goals it's over time

Obviously still rooting for Barca, but it would be interesting to see Mourinho go up against Chelsea. That would be fun.

I can't believe that Terry lost his head completely. Great goal by Ramires but the next 45 minutes are going to be hell. Bosingwa had better pull the performance of his life.

You may stop posting in that manner btw, you start coming of as an icredibly biased person. everyone is incredibly bias in this thread towards their favorite team.

Not at all, 2 Spanish teams in the CL semi finals, 3 in Europa League semi finals
Its pretty clear that La Liga is ahead of EPL at the moment, facts are there.

the away goals rules.
its been in europe for years
if both teams are tied over 2 legs the team with the most away goals goes through
eg
home | away
A 2-0 B B 3-1 A final score is 3-3 but the away goal puts team A through
again: home | away
A 2-0 B B 2-0 A 2-2 overall and 0 away goals so it goes to extra time / pens , it would be the same if it was 1-1 and 1-1.. make sense? <3
people have said they count for more and they are like a trump card, there is no value on an away goal so they dont actually count for more, but like in top trumps if i have 1 and you 0 i win.
edit : seen replays, defo a red , silly terry.. :|

Do you honestly think Chelsea is even close to the same level as barce??? cause that's what it seems you're implying. Just look at the game, chelsea don't even touch the ball but amazingly they keep getting tiny chances and SCORING which is awesome but common, are you kidding me...

Inter pulled it off before, so there is still hope for Chelsea there. But yeah what Terry did is just incredibly stupid.

la liga is easier so it allows them to be fresher for europe, I'd like to see barca go to tough clubs like stoke or fulham and get a result week in week out

epic goal from Ramires. gratz to him.

I didn't think that it was a red card in real time, but after seeing the replay I can see why the ref gave it. I've seen those calls go either way. Personally, I don't think it should have been a red card. But then, if I were refereeing I'd allow everyone a at least one free foul on Sanchez (and Dani Alvez, Busquets, Mascherano, etc., perhaps two on Terry). Oh well, even if it was harsh, it was incredibly stupid and couldn't have happened to a nicer person. Also, terrible keeping (again) from Valdes.

Different strategies, different games.
(Although I will admit that Barca is probably better right now.)

Sadly, I don't think Chelsea will survive a half full of pressure by barca with only 10 players :S.
