Chelsea need a big boost and some brilliance from somewhere to score in this game let alone win! he could score twice, but there were somr great saves by al habsi and wigan defence

![]() Goal was offside by 1 yard, but only defense linesman might have is that Luiz and Mata were onside and could of tapped it in as well xD Torres on now finally, Merielles and Essien need to go off awful midfielders in this "holding" role they have.

Merieles isn't playing poorly in my opinion. He keeps shuffling to relieve pressure from the back four and his distribution has been pretty tidy. Essien has really struggled to exert himself in the midfield, but that seems to have been true for many games already. I don't think we'll ever see the Essien of old where he dominated the midfield.

I really hope Milan decide to offload him in the summer and sign either Tevez or Balotelli in his place... With Cassano back, plus Ibra, Maxi, and Shaarawy, that would make up a pretty good strike force. Pato is a whole problem on his own that needs sorting out.

Again that was pretty flat. I miss watching the athletic monsters that pound for pound on every position were bigger, meaner and fitter than everyone else in the league. Like someone mentioned Essien doesnt have it anymore and unlike Torres hes old. That mojo isnt coming back Ive resigned myself to it.
