I really could use the link. xD They mentioned it in the commentary but you could probably just google it. Wikipedia pages usually have it updated pretty correctly. Oh and YEAHYHHHHHHHH APOEL fuck Lyon. Cheat your way into Ro8 and get beaten by Apoel. Awesome vindication.

I hope Ronaldo can score 6 goals against CSKA next week so I can stop hearing about Messi, it's been like an hour and every sports site I go to is going insane. xD If you wonder why I prefer Ronaldo to Messi, look up next to my tl name.

And Messi is a beast. He is without doubt the best player in the world right now. And he's only 24 years old!

Rip shit out of context 101 right there, rofl. On a more serious note I'm really happy Apoel made it through, they played much better than Lyon the whole game. Too bad their strikers weren't quite decisive enough or they would've certainly made more goals.

I mean, Andy Carroll, seriously? Just look at Özil and Khedira to Real for ~15 millions each. Imagine they were english, had played in the premier league and enjoyed the success germany had at the world cup 2010 with england instead. 25 millions easy. While that may be true, Ozil sold for that much because he had 1 world cup performance and his contract was running down. Khedira is the same. Without any serious European pedigree I cant see that happening, I dont see anyone outside the big 2 in Spain spending that much money either. Even within bigger leagues, Italy doesnt have that kind of money nor does the rest of Spain. Not at the moment anyway. Even the bigger clubs are keeping it pretty tight with the purse strings in Italy in particular (mostly because they have to but whatever). And honestly Khedira isnt world class, and Ozil needs to rest for a week if he manages to finish 90 minutes. They were contract driven buys. Ever heard of that fellow ,God whats his namee, you know big Bosnian dude gosh what is his name... o thats right that guy. He sold for what ? 30+ million , and he had a good goalscoring record and practically won his team the league one season. I think its universally accepted that most of the buys that liverpool have made have been bad deals. Infact England in general is just silly with transfer fees barring perhaps Arsenal. Just because they sold for more doesnt mean they were worth more. The clubs had the money so they spent it. Its the same old influx of cash story. Fact of the matter is Podolski is not a proven comodity in England, hell he flopped at Munich so hard the world forgot who he was till the next world cup rolled around he has no European credibility. So why would he sell for more at a non cash rich club ? Thats the same case with the likes of Klose and to some extent Mertesacker. In Low's system Mertesacker is an absolute boss, at Arsenal he looks like a circus reject half the time.

If Messi had a career ending injury tomorrow, would people still say that about him? I think most would, at least those saying it now. He might not be GOAT yet, but to me, he is the best player to have graced the european club football scene.

But if messi keeps this kinds of performances up, he is going to be the best of all time IMO
