after a rocky first half ac milan stepped it up and proved that they know how to play defensively. I waited for arsenal to do something at the end but they were through.

They dominated Arsenal in the second half bar one or two slip ups. Thiago Silva showed why he is the best defender on the planet. Millan played far better than Arsenal for 3 halfs of the 4, over the two legs. Plus Nesta is out. Dont talk to me about injuries... We are missing a few key players like wilshire and arteta. Also, Ox and walcott went out of the game in the final mins...

Did Ibrahimovic even tried in today's game?

Milan deserved to go through over two legs, but you're discounting that leg because it was a while ago? Milan also kept you pretty quiet in the second half. Take off the blinkered fan glasses for a moment.

Milan should of taken advantage of their position with 4-0 lead on aggregate and they almost let arsenal take them out. They were all over the place for most part of the game. There is no excuse of why milan played so poorly tonight. No championship caliber team should ever play like that. Especially, if you have 4-0 lead on aggregate. How people are saying well deserved is lunacy. Frankly, the only italian team that has a hope of getting far is Napoli. Milan will get blown next game.

couple of nice pouts and a dive or two, standard game tbh

Bah, sad to see Arsenal fall out after that great first half. Walcott really sucked it up in the second, though and The Ox kinda lost momentum (possible injury? His movements looked awkward for most of the second half and he didn't commit to many challenges). Glad for Zlatan, though. Hopefully he can make it all the way this time.

Your first post said, 'Granted, Milan deserved to go through', and now you've edited it to this? I really don't understand you.
Milan scored 4 goals and played well for at least a whole game. Arsenal scored 3 and played well for 45-60 minutes. You've been on a good run of games, and tonight's should settle you well for the end of season run in, minus the slight (presumed) injury to Chamberlain.
Off to bed anyway, good luck for the rest of the season.

You say that Milan didn't deserve it because of how poorly they played in the first half of last night's match. But can you really say Arsenal deserved it given how horribly they played in the first leg? The way I see it, 4 halves were played. Milan dominated 2, Arsenal dominated 1 and the last one was close. At the end of the day, Milan raped Arsenal in the first leg harder than Arsenal raped them back last night and that is why they qualified.
Edit: Arsenal ALMOST beat the odds. Unfortunately for them, "almost" doesn't count as actually doing it.

Isn't Milan tired of being on the receiving end of an almost impossible comebacks?

A bit weird from Wenger. The ref was terrible, but I don't think he had a major impact on the result.

Chelsea will show whos the best team in England next Wednessday ehh, I'm not so sure about Chelsea's chances next week. Cahill and Luiz were apparently solid against Birmingham, but Cavani/Lavezzi/Hamsik are a much stronger threat (as shown in the first leg). Plus, the managerial whiparound that has been occurring surely won't help.
But it doesn't hurt to be hopeful. A good performance against Stoke would restore a bit of confidence for the team.

Yes because people argue to change peoples opinion. On the balance of play Arsenal left themselves to much to do. Milan came out of the half alot more composed in the second leg and they had their own chances aswell. If Arsenal had deserved to go through they would have done so. They didnt and thats that. Certainly alot of credit to them for giving a right go at it and almost pulling it off. And no Milan shouldnt be happy with the result but what matters is getting through. You look at the negatives after accepting that and working on the problems.
Next round is totally different time and how Milan are playing then will determine what happens. Frankly 3 weeks ago Arsenal wouldnt have gotten a prayer after that horrid week with the Sunderland + Milan game seemed like they were about ready to echo last seasons disasters. They havent quite pulled out of that possibility yet but atleast they havent capitulated like they did then and are playing better now. So heartening certainly but alot of work to do.

Yea Messi just being Messi, he had a bit of a dip around a month back (and Fabregas) missing sitters by his standards in some games. Been absolutely red hot tonight. Leverkusen may just want to leave.
