Gervinho cost roughly the same and he came from a championship winning team.. Podolski has no creditionals in club level play to warrant anything over 15 million edit : Oh Leverkusen nick one in stoppage time.. heh..

If you are a german footballer or playing for a german club, you are automatically worth at 25% less than a comparable player in other big european leagues (Bundesligaclubs cannot do whatever they want financially, transfer fees are not ridiculously inflated). I mean, Andy Carroll, seriously? Just look at Özil and Khedira to Real for ~15 millions each. Imagine they were english, had played in the premier league and enjoyed the success germany had at the world cup 2010 with england instead. 25 millions easy.

so the first player to ever score 5 goals in a CL match and a couple away from being the number 1 scorer for Barcelona ever. Decent .

Özil and Khedira are better than Podolski though. Podolski is not even worth 13 million imo.

I'm not even a Barca-fan but watching them play is the most fun related to football I can imagine, it's like textbook play and art at the same time.

Fun fact: Messi has scored more hat-tricks than Torres has goals XD
