Yes i can understand that comment on Lyon, but your never going to win the competition, no offense, your team was getting good at one point back few seasons ago, Juniho and co and a younger kallstrom, now you sell most of your decent players like the Benfica's and Porto's, if i had any preference if we (Chelsea) get through to next round id 100% prefer to play Benfica/Zenit or Lyon/APOEL. Man city first time in champions league with a retarded manager wasn't all that bad eventually did well vs Bayern at home but overall not good start to there champions league debut. But im sure they would of still been feared a bit more in the last 16 than other teams mentioned. Oh and on Arsenal lol, i think it spells the end for Wenger, he WILL NEVER get sacked in my opinion club love him to much, but i think he has had enough and will walk either go to real madrid or maybe French national manager. He has never once blamed his players when they have been beaten convincingly, always says some weird answer but never says "We have played bad tonight" which he said yesterday, very strange!

Never really a contender. They probably wouldnt even have achieved that if they werent Madrids bogie team each year and the 1 time they go to the semis it was a the best draw they couldve gotten playing uhh im gona sayyy Bourdeaux or some french team ? Bogie team thing ended last year anyway,/ Certainly fancy them this year for a semi final appearance this year though aside from maybe Barca and Madrid the draw is pretty open.

How is this not a red card? With that being said, Zenit played better and deserved to Win. And Milan completly Crushed Arsenal :| Poor Wenger

And Milan completly Crushed Arsenal :| Poor Wenger Zenit deserved it, but I actually think Benfica did a good job in the end. Scoring two away goals will make Zenit's job very difficult in Estadio da Luz and basically means there is all to play for still. Especially with the attacking players Benfica has at their disposal. As for Arsenal well I really enjoy Wenger's vision and I wish more teams would follow their financial policy, but they sold Nasri and Fabregas for a shit ton of money (60 million pounds in total according to Google's sources) this season and yet apart from Oxlade-chamberlain there haven't been any players to strengthen the team.

LOL @ AVB press conference earlier, DEAD MAN WALKING seriously. Heres my selection from the press conference No he doesn't speak to anyone as his "mentor" .. doesn't need any help. Do the players back your project: it's not up to them the owner backs me. Does the owner still back you? I think so but you should ask him. Were there strong words in the meeting .. No strong words no. The only good thing he said IMHO was that we need to see action not words as we did with the run of games including Newcastle Valencia Citey

But, their roles are different on the pitch, while Ronaldo usually play LW, RVP is usually a Striker. If they can communicate well, it can be a crazy forward line.

If that is the case, then I see that as him wanting to give arsenal a shot this season, and if it doesn't work out (which it isn't/won't) then he won't sign another and ask to leave.

Remember Lyon is the only team with Arsenal who qualified 9 times consecutively to the 1/8, they always did well without all the money all the other teams had. They are certainly not the ancient Lyon with Juninho, essien etc... and there championship is pretty poor this year, they'll certainly finish 5th, but they have the experience of players like karlstrom, lisandro, chris (even if my grandma can outspeed him), reveillere etc... There fault was to throw money away, buying gourcuff (28M) and cissokho (15M for a left back...). Now gourcuff is not even on the bench, this is pitfull, this guy became a ghost.

I'd think it depends if they can reach top4 and get to sign some good players this summer. If they fail to qualify for the Champions League next year I doubt they'll able to sign some big guns (Hazard i.e.) and RVP will prolly leave :/ Sad days as an Arsenal fan ._.

If only ajax had a good striker and someone on the right flank who can actually get passed his opponent we might've actually had an oppertunity to win.
