Strong group for us, but at least we can avoid our typical traps for the groupstage, which always have been eastern europe teams and getting too euphoric after a win in the first game just to stumble in the 2nd. I can see us getting too overconfident if we make it out of the group, especially with a rather small-name team awaiting in the ro8. But if we treat every opponent seriously, only spain has a chance of stopping us.
edit: Yeah I see it's logically questionable to assume we will beat anyone (but spain) if we take them seriously, since in this case we dont take them seriously.

Nice groups, except for A

Lots of interesting matches, especially the openers.
Germany vs. Portugal, Spain vs Italy, England vs France (this one just because of name tags

).

Other than that, Russia and Greece in the same group for 3rd straight euro, England in the same group as Sweden, Italian coached Ireland playing Italy all looks very interesting.
lol I wonder if we will see another 16 yellow 4 red in Netherland vs Portugal game.

Hilarious group lol.

Will be fun. The last few years we have always ended up in the group of death and everytime we have breezed through it. Last time it was Italy/France/Romania. I wonder what'll happen this time.

Has anyone seen Qualifier games of denmark? I am afraid that, at the moment, I have no clue how strong they are . The only players I frequently see in high level games are Agger, Kjaer, Eriksen and Bendtner but that doesn't mean that they could not prove dangerous.

1. Holland
2. Danmark
3. Germany
4. Portugal

We did alright in qualifiers, it was some decent games - We beat Portugal and won the group.

However, the team is still very young, many new inexperienced players

Only thing we do have going for us is:

1: Germany usually does play poorly in group stages, but always advance to playoffs anyway
2: We already proven that we can beat Portugal
3: Ugh.. Holland are tough.. T.T

Last time we beat both Germany and Holland at a cup, we won it all ^^ (Eurocup 1992) - Might as well just get it overwith in the groupstage :D

It will be some good games for sure though, GLGL to all

Edit: Ach.. Just saw that our group is played in Ukraine and not in Poland.. Damn it, if it was Poland I would probably go see the games

Don't see Netherlands and Germany going to that group both, one of them will eventually drop out after group stage.
On the other hand, Netherlands is above the other two, and Germany hasn't struggled with Portugal in the past, and Denmark might be a tad too weak to harm them.
Group A though...

After doing some calcs for the 4 groups though, I would guess these first and seconds:
Russia, Czech
Netherlands, Germany
Spain, Croatia
England, Sweden

The top teams could've had a bit more spreading (I'm looking at you group a) Well, it's gonna be hard for Germany, but if you want to claim the championship, you have to beat any top team at some point, so it might aswell be in the groupstage =)

But the interesting question I'm asking myself now is: will this event pass by without a newspaper outside of Germany (especially the english ones) compare our national team to Hitlers Panzer Legions rolling over Poland and France...
