Reminder since the season starts this weekend, I've set up a fantasy league on www.premierleague.com and the code is 268378-275428, the league isn't looking particularly packed at the moment and I would've expected more people so come on!

In the other hand seems like Nasri wants out after just 1 year? thats just disrispectful he should show respect for the club that bought him and gave him the exposure and to mature Well technically Nasri has been at Arsenal for 3 years, but his reputation has only really been high after last season. In the end, it all comes down to money - Man City will offer him much higher wages and given that the two teams are roughly even in strength, he wants to move to Man City (allegedly). In the end, like Assou-Ekotto said, footballers are just professionals trying to get the best for themselves. Most aren't too concerned with the notion of club loyalty if they can double their pay elsewhere. Speaking about ridiculous amounts of money, the Russian team Anzhi also seem to be looking for huge transfer deals. Having already bought Zhirkov from Chelsea for £13.2 million (which probably overvalued him given his relative lack of playing time), there are intense rumors that Eto'o will be moving there as well with possible wages of £300,000 a month. Not sure how true these rumors are, but seeing them across multiple sources shows there is at least a hint of truth that Anzhi contacted Eto'o.

Also Nasri got offered a very good contract extension at arsenal (allegedly around 115k pounds/week) but declined it until he sees the teams "ambition" in the market place. The problem is that Arsenal were bound by both Nasri and Cesc's situation and are getting fucked. No offense to fabregas, but he basically fucked over arsenal financially if he is gone for less than 45-50M pounds (not euros... ). They say he asked to be transfered directly to Barcelona without handing in a transfer request. Now Arsenal unfortunately are not assholes and EVEN though has still has 4 years on his contract, they didn't force him to ask for a transfer request. The reason this would be advantageous for Arsenal is because it would start a bidding war and FORCE Barcelona to shell out what he's really worth. I mean I'm sure Inter and Real wouldn't mind spilling ~50-55 M euros on somebody of Fabregas's stature. Also, this is a HUGE problem for arsenal. Fabregas wasn't really training with the team until recently in preseason, but the entire preseason has been somewhat lost (minus fitness level). The chemistry and w/e it is is truly lost now. There is nothing to keep the group together. And what's even worse is that the eventual replacement of these two are bound to come from an outside source which doesn't help because it takes time for teammates to "gel"

EDIT: And he's fucking over the entire arsenal team by leaving so late in the transfer window. the 4-3-3 arsenal system is based around him for fucks sake. That's why arsenal's 2nd string team look so shite, because they're playing a system that brings the most out of fabregas, without fabregas!

I hope not, I wan't to see the 2 candidates at the title soon to see how things shape up, also if either Madrid or Barça make it far in the UCL, La Liga and UCL will be in the middle of action at the same time with no clear winner yet, and will take lot of physical endurance by both teams, lets hope it starts in time.

I think it's more Barca being complete douches refusing to pay Arsenal what Fabregas is worth, knowing they have the upperhand and can just keep unsettling Fabregas more and more until Arsenal gives in. Compared to C.Ronaldo's transfer to Real, both players were heavily courted over the course of multiple seasons, but Real was somewhat more respectful and came up with the money without whining about the price tag everyday. Looks like even the very best English teams can only buy from France/Holland/Portugal, or outcasts from similar stature European teams. No one leaves Barca/Real unless they're not wanted, the premiership has become a feeder league.

Also, last year, you can clearly see that the supporters at home sucked balls after the birmingham disaster =\

Inter doesnt have any money, they are selling etoo and trying to get rid of sneider.. theyre actually also struggling to make fair play.. Real Madrid might have the money but they are not stupid.. they already have way more depth than they need. They do not need Fabregas. If he was ever going to go anywhere it was going to be Barcelona.. for how much and when was the only issue.. and frankly Barcelona dont need him desperately.. they just want him desperately.. it almost seems silly but seems like closure is finally around the corner..

Fabregas is not, again reiterating if they needed him desperately theyd have paid, but why shouldnt they haggle for someone that they could do without for another couple of years ? What does Arsenals situation have to do with them ? Is it their problem that they havent won diddly squat and disillusioned their players ? He wants to go to a team that wants him but at a price they can pay realistically without making it a problem for themselves.. the markets are so inflated why shouldnt they be prudent or try to be ?
