It just makes no sense. ![]() And if you're basing my entire post off of one hyperbolic statement for dramatics sake, and not reading the arguments presented -- well, I'm sorry you're taking this that way ![]()

EDIT: Other than bugs/engine issues, because I assume that's not what you meant when you said you liked FO3 better (though bugs/engine issues are par for the course when Obsidian is involved).

I loved the atmoshpere, the story itself feel much more interesting. I pretty much described why I don't like setting of New Vegas in the first post + the mechanics of game as it felt to me. There's no sense of sci-fi discovery in NV, it feels like a steampunk western to me and I don't like westerns, nor do I like steampunk.I tried playing through it 2 times and I wasn't a new-age fallout fan at all, actually I despised it for a long time, then I got GoTY and decided to go through it and eventually I liked it 7/10 in my book overall. But when I tried to play New Vegas everythig felt short in it. Improved nuances don't make game better if the setting and story feels out of place and barely intriguing. And compared to other people I don't think others know nothing about anything just because I think my opinion and knowledge of the game, possibly, is deeper. In this case it's pretty much shalower, since I'm not a lore-freak (meant in a good way) but my points are valid and someone thinking to buy F3 or F:NV might get my view and reflect on it from experience with other games. I'm not saying NOT to buy NV, I'm saying I hate it because I actually liked F3. @ Fruscainte By BoS I didn't mean the faction, I meant the game which you mentioned. I know that alot of oldschool F fans didn't like Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel but I loved it. Bought it on Steam a year ago (played it in early 00's when it came out) and played through it a month or two ago. I'm not into discussing ideology of anyone, especially a fictionate post-apocalyptic technocrats ![]()

I was trying to get across the point that the story for F3 is total ass, and just stomps on any and every established lore for the Fallout series while giving very underwhelming combat and a very underwhelming world/atmosphere and anyone who truly felt that the story was "amazing" or loved the BoS or whatever clearly never played the first 2 games. Because of how blatantly the story was copied from those two games, and how the BoS is the exact opposite of how they are portrayed in the first two games / Fallout Bible / etc. Sorry :/

You might be interested in Gemini Rue if you haven't played it already. They locked L.A. Noire at 30 fps too, lol. It's not an action game of course, but still... From today's sale I definitely recommend Serious Sam. 90% off is pretty insane.

I don't dislike anyone. I may feel that their opinion is stupid, which I will come out and say right now I think of yours about Fo3/NV. However, I don't think you're any less of a person, you are any less inherently intelligent, nor do I "dislike" you over it. I just think you're wrong in this case in every possible way. ![]() EDIT: Honestly, do they put KOTOR on sale EVERY single sale?

I'm wrong for your perception which could possibly be flawed, not mine, but apparently you fail to aknowledge such possibility. Or you ignore the fact that others can enjoy things you don't want to. Anyways, I'm not your life coach so I don't think you can change your attitude towards others in two posts, nor do I feel like I have to be. You better not write anything towards me if you don't want to embarass yourself more. And we'll stop at this. Because this is becoming personal.

Spent more than 100 hours playing it on multiple playthroughs. Strongly recommend it.Riddick - a solid buy, good atmosphere, enjoyable game, but I wouldn't replay it. Felt completely satisfied with 1 run through both campaigns. GTA4 - if you still don't have it, get it even if you minorly liked previous games. Amazing game, overall the best in last few years for me. Space Marine - complete meh. Maybe multiplayer is fun but still, 4-5h campaign and repetetive casual mp combat. Not good in my book.

On November 26 2011 03:28 Fruscainte wrote: How is Dead Island? I'd be playing it solo, which I think may be an issue ![]() I played it with a couple friends and it was okay. Borderlands is a similar game in gameplay and story: both are FPS+RPGs with a low diversity of enemies and both have lackluster endings. I liked Borderlands a lot more than Dead Island so I would recommend that instead. (Borderlands with all DLC is 33% off atm, at 20.09 USD. It's been on sale for cheaper that that but that's the current price if you want to play one of the two right now. The DLC are all very good in Borderlands.) I would hold off on Dead Island until it's much cheaper before you buy it, and even then, you should play Borderlands or Borderlands 2 to see if you like that type of game first. Edit: Forgot to mention that I probably would have gotten bored and quit Dead Island before the end if I wasn't playing with friends. It's a really repetitive and unfulfilling game -- and I love these types of games. Edit2: I've got 88 hours on Borderlands according to steam. I also doubt I would have played it nearly as much solo but I probably could have gotten 40-50 hours and I could have played with more online people. Edit3: For completeness I have 29 hours of Dead Island on steam, not including the arena DLC that just came out (which might add a few hours if it's good. It'll also cost you $10). These times are based on me doing practically every side quest and exploring.
