It doesnt have complicated gameplay like darksouls, it just parrying like in Assassins creed and using a few special abilities that torture orcs; you are also stupidly powerful compared to DS. It has no story, it has basically no exploration.
It does have a genius system of creating orcs that you remember and hate or pity or fear. And it is fun to be some kind of god that makes orcs die in the most brutal ways.
dont know if you like it or not, but tdont buy for melee combat which is i guess what most people give it bad reviews for, they wanted DS. Hmm tough call then. I do kind of like the idea of being a godlike being torturing and killing orcs. But I usually prefer games like DS with combat or Witcher for story and exploration etc. If only it was on for a bit cheaper than 50% I'd probably grab it just to try. But as is I think I may pass. No idea, what the guy is talking about. It has a really nice story and tons of exploration. You can play it very linear and just run from A to B in order to get through it fast, but there are a ton of sidequests, that will make you explore the entire map.
ok the story is like 4 hours of gameplay and its not really a story when you compare it to middle earth material. There isnt any exploration, there is just challenges and collectibles on the map.
There is no wandering around and wondering what that burned cathedral over there is or going into some ruin or climbing the biggest montain. THere is ubisoft towers that unlock map icons and there are areas with lots of orcs and areas with not lots of orcs.
superpowerful orc rival who has risen from constantly defeating you.
i had a funny "rival" that at first i killed accidentally because i didnt realize he was special and i just stealth killed him. He came back like 5 times, he was so pathetic in combat, but he hated me so much, always seeking me out. At the end he didnt even really have a head anymore, just a bloody blob and after the 5th time it finally fell off.

I quite liked it as well, it was simple but fun.
Got Wolf Among Us and XCOM. I'm done for this sale (unless TWD season 2 goes to 75%, maybe)

i agree just get Borderlands2 : Game of the Year Edition.. its <$10 right now and will last u a long time.
if u get to level 61 and want to keep going iwth the game there is 1 DLC pack that will take u from 61 to 72... and its cheap. only get that pack if u r dyin' to go beyond leve 61. it is dirt cheap with or without a sale. this is it here http://store.steampowered.com/app/224180/
therefore , just get Borderlands2 : Game of the Year Edition and do not get any other DLC.

Well I just saw today's sales, and 1 on my wishlist Cities: Skylines went a little lower, but only 33%, meaning it still must be popular enough. Guess if that's as low as it goes I will wait till the next sale or maybe until it becomes at least 50%
Also, does anyone have or own the VN called *eden? It's discounted at 60% at $8.79. For such an expensive VN, it must be good according to most reviews. Is it a recommended buy now?

Hmm, see damn split reviews man xD fuck it for that price I guess I can give it a try. If you like the Assassins' Creed series and want a little "more," then this is your game. That's basically all it is.

Skylines is a daily deal atm so it wont go cheaper. Its a relevantly new game that is very popular so its no real surprise it is this high still. That said its one of the best games in its genre, its not a hard game as such. Its almost impossible to fail imo but esp the traffic is challenging enough to keep you occupied while your trying to build a gigantic and/or beautiful city.

I just realized that buying the witcher trilogy pack is cheaper w/ season pass is convenient than buying witcher 3 itself. lol
|
Completed Wolfenstein New Order from yesterdays sale, took around 9hours, was hoping for a longer game, but meh cant complain, was still worth the price tag.

neato tnx buddy. wonder if it will go on sale !!!
also might pick up Remember Me cyberpunk storybased game which tb knocked for having crap gameplay (but i only care abt visuals + story)

I would recommend getting witcher 1 and 2. Content per price ratio is off the charts.
Got both for free thanks to GoG and one TL member from this thread but gonna buy Witcher 3 after it drops a little in price.
