 i wanted a little higherSo far: Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Dont Starve + DLC Deciding if any of the Anmesia games are worth it, A Machine for Pigs or Dark descent ? its $7 for the pack, but not so sure about it i dont even know what im waiting for... but if theres something interesting ill sure ill buy it (and maybe never play it ) | ||

 but all those steam sales are just great to catch up on awesome games and to discover new ones. Because you cant just buy every AAA for full price when you dont even have the time to play all of them. Especially seeing how much marketing hype is created for average games that everyone has to buy right now. Steam sales just make you feel like: "you know what, i dont need to try this new fancy game for 60 bucks, i didnt even got to play all the games i bought from the last steam sale  "and qualitywise new does not equal better nowadays. Its almost as great as license free e-books from amazon so you can build your own portable library of Alexandria on your ipad. If I bought all the books i had on paperback i would've spend 1000€, but digitally i spend maybe 10€. Too bad this mentality hasnt reached the music/movie business yet so those are still mostly pirated. Like who wants to go through the hassle of pirating games nowadays when you can have them so cheap? | ||

Im just running around looking everywhere and if someone wants to fight me im gonna punch him in the face. But thats not how Amnesia works and then you get frustrated because you die so much^^ I cant open up enough and let the fear get to me to make this game work. Its just not fun for me to let myself get scared. Then i dont feel like playing it. I tried a few times but i never got far in the game. | ||

I bought farcry 3 allready and have witcher 2. FC3 almost finished downloading, ill try that out first. And is Borderlands 2 worth for singleplayer? I cant stand playing these Quest based games with other people for too long. | ||

Borderlands 2 its a great game, if you like to loot and get more powerful, create characters, etc... its a no brainer, its better in MP ? yes, but the SP its good too IF you like loot-filled, action and RPG games (with a good story too) you will like it | ||

Basically, Amnesia is scary. It is in first person. There are some puzzles. There are no weapons. There are monsters. None of that is really relevant. Play it in the dark and be willing to immerse yourself, and it will scare the shit out of you. Play it in the light and don't immerse yourself, and it is absurdly boring. Personally, i stopped playing because it was too scary. It was dark and i had no idea where to go and there was a monster and then i hid in a cell and closed the door and listened really carefully and grabbed a broom as a weapon even though i knew it was useless, and then i heard heavy breathing and then it got quiet and then i opened the door and it was right next to me and the screen went all scary and there were scary sounds so i pressed escape and never started the game again afterwards. All of this is about "A Dark Descent", i have not played a machine for pigs. | ||

It's basically just a first person game where you walk through the map without getting to scared/getting killed by monsters. Having not played Silent Hill, it sounds similar in that in Amnesia you can't fight back, your only options are to run and hide. The previous poster mentioned a few puzzles. Being a lover of puzzle games I just want to clarify, the puzzles aren't like the type of puzzles you are going to find in a game like Myst or Rhem, they are much simpler and not really the focal point of the game. | ||
