I've played it for about an hour, not sure what the rage about controls is all about. I've been messing around with combos and I can do them all consistently, switch targets/dodge no problem.. if I fuck up it's certainly not due to the controls.
I'm not saying it's a good PC port, and I was scared as shit when I read about the control issues on the forums, but after just trying it myself it really is not that bad. Graphics, meh. The artstyle is great, I don't require DX11 from all my games. Awesome combat, feels great. I'm glad I bought it

If anyone didn't check, you might want to take a look at Gamefly's prices before purchasing anything on Steam. After an additional 20% off with coupon code HOLIDAY20 (one use per account), some games are cheaper.
Highlights include:
The Walking Dead $10 Torchlight 2 $8 Hotline Miami $4 Portal 2 $4 L4D2 $4 XCOM Enemy Unknown $20 Borderlands 2 $24

You should really try to invest in a xbox PC controler at some point tho. It help in a ton of games, even where M/KB support is good.

yeah, controller is good for games that need analoge movement. like DMC, any driving game, and those action RPGs.
also, i rather buy from steam, i dont like having all my information out on all those random sites that can get hacked.
ALSO, i really dont know why commandos series is not available in germany, i remeber it being featured it those pc game print magazines in my youth, so it should not really be blacklisted by government or whatever.

If anyone wants XCOM, Gamefly has it at $25, without the extra 20% off code if it applies.

just went back on gamersgate, from the frantic spam yesterday.. i actually have another incomplete order sitting there (priced at $28) in addition to the two completed transactions
am i all good to buy this at the original price?

Can you not change the control options on Darksider 2? The first game had terrible default controls but I was able to fiddle around with them placing additional actions on mouse buttons and moving other stuff around.

They will probably not be able to fill it as they announced that they are out of keys.
Any chance that you would be willing to part with one of your purchased bundles for $40?

at what point of purchase would I enter this code? I see skyrim for 30$ if I can put an additional 20% off I'll surely buy it. I don't think steam will be selling it any cheaper than 30$ as well.
Edit: nvm, read the fine print and saw it was applied at the last stage
IT works skyrim for 23.99 not too shabby

I still have New Vegas Ultimate Edition, Fallout 3 GotY, Morrowind GotY, Doom 3 BFG, Brink Complete and RAGE left from the Bethesda Bundle. Want to sell them cheap or trade them vs Torchlight 2, FM2013 or BL2 DLC.

I'm waiting for three more serials out of that bundle, but they will be available in 2-3 weeks.

Dark Souls deal is live at Amazon.

Takes a reasonably beefy rig and some effort to tweak everything (and preferably a gamepad), but the end result is better than the console versions.

There's a resolution fix (the game just stretches 1080p to whatever resolution you're using) which takes 10 seconds to install. You just need to put some files in the game folder.
It's locked to 30fps. Some people are bothered by this, but I have absolutely no problem with it. There's a way to break the lock but you can't play online with that.
You need windows live to play. Windows live is a complete bitch and it took me an extremely frustrating hour to set it up, but after that I have experienced zero problems with it. It just logs in when you start up.
Lastly, some people say you need a controller for it. You don't. You can play 100% optimally on your keyboard (you control your camera too with keyboard). Some people like controller more though, you just have to see for yourself.

Am i stupid, or is does that amazon online game thingy not exist in germany? And the american one asks me for a credit card, of which i don't have one. I am pretty sure i ordered books from amazon germany before, and was able to pay with paypal.

Lots (all?) of the downloadable games from Amazon say they're only for US so that might be why you can't see it.

im really, really enjoying it on PC.
i haven't tried it with mouse and keyboard controls, however with a 360 controller its great.
with a few (fairly easy) to install mods the game can run up to 60fps and still work with online play. you can also grab a few high res packs that update some of the menu and item images.
the only rough patch that ive experienced thus far is connecting up with friends. the summoning system kinda sucks and i had to forward a few ports on my router to be able to get it to work.
despite these few problems the gameplay is great and a refreshing change to some recent RPGs that like to hold your hand while you explore the world around you.
