(I haven't put any time into 3 yet), or is it a similar thing just with updated GFX, where i should have purchased NV instead? Thoughts? (Sorry if this is bringing up that arugment, this is just a question )Having played both and just buying NV and putting 10 hours into it already, I'd have to say that New Vegas is a much, much, much better game than FO3. NV has a much better story arc in my opinion and the world feels more gritty and raw whereas FO3 felt much more toned down, also NV has better music in my opinion, can use iron sights and has better weapons and better rpg mechanics (ability to customize weapons and join a wide range of factions), and NV feels and plays like a true robust Grade A RPG where as FO3 felt more like a sand box game to me vs an rpg.

I liked Sins of a Solar Empire, btw... is this pretty much the same thing? This is one of the stones that built the recent resurgence of the 4x genre if I'm not mistaken.

Outside of Starcraft, there isnt a single series that every comes close to the amount of time ive put in total war. My opinion is Medieval 2: total war is the best (especially crusades expansion, but im hot for that stuff) edit. Rome is pretty fucking good too, but i found it to easy because your units are so good.

There are many many mods for both games that bring the pain ![]() If anyone is a fan of Civilization type 4X games, Gal Civ 2 is an adorable take on it. It's really deep and fun and it's also cute.

Also gl, I've tried and failed so many times despite the entire concept of the series seemingly being perfect for me. There is just something very dull about the conversations in the series, which is a huge chunk of the "gameplay". The shooting mechanics are also quite uninspired. I just don't get what the fuss is about.

#1 No. Save your time for better games. Really? I'm surprised. I've heard almost nothing except enthusiatic praise for ME1 and ME2. I was thinking that getting either of these games for 5 bucks would be a steal. #2 Its from EA, so no Deals - cause they are greedy basterds. I thought Mass Effect was made by BioWare, who also made Dragon Age. That was a Steam deal, so I was hoping for a ME deal as well. If you're referring to EA as a publisher, didn't they also publish Dragon Age?

BioWare is owned by EA and EA is the Publisher and they decide about things like Steam Sales etc. Its the Publishers who make the Prices and not Valve. ![]() Really? I'm surprised. If you finish Mass Effect 1, you want to play ME2 and will be disappointed. After that you maybe still want to play ME3 just to finish the story and thats the problem. ME3 is really a waste of time in every aspect.
