Honestly ever since this patch / maintainence yesterday from 7-8 GMT, the servers globally have been even worse than before, as far as latency is concerned. I really am getting concerned about how long they will leave the game in this borderline unplayable position; it's getting a bit ridiculous.

The trick is to be the guy in the tank

Well I decided to say screw working overtime today, and I went and picked this up. My PC isn't good enough for BF3 - so I had to resort to getting it for the xbox. Even of xbox this game is a blast. I just wish I had some squadmates to run with. Everyone runs like a chicken with their head cut off lol. Not that I should be pointing fingers, I'm pretty bad too. But I did pull down an MVP in the about an hour I got to play, by being the guy in the tank

There are infantry only servers if you hate vehicles. And thats fine COD/Battlefield are completely different games, one requires teamwork and the other is a run and gun thats why COD is so popular

I'm liking everything. Really feels tense when you see a tank go past. Cover is really important and stuff. Doing pretty well so far, trying to level up assault instead of flicking around kits like i did in beta. Really wanna try out the f2000 ^_^.
One thing i dislike is the lense flare effects, when theres like, 8 little circles on your screen and intense glare cant see shit. I guess its fairly "realistic". goggles get dirty when you're running around and stuff.
Still really enjoying the game. Never get a chance in a tank or plane tho

Just keep spawning at the start and eventually you'll get one. To be honest I get no enjoyment out of jets but I do love my attack helis.

My passengers usually don't though when I get frustrated and turn the helicopter into a complicated bomb.

As soon as you get a defib you're done. Really easy to level up. Being a gunner for a heli is great too, you get all the unlocks for piloting it later and you can become extremely potent with just flares and heat seekers.

stop running infront of tanks every 3 seconds and don't look into the sun. Games with hardcounters / unbalanced things are so much fun. Especially when you can exploit those things against others so you end up with unbalanced things balancing themselves out since everyone has access to it :S

Then when you're good enough you can take the underpowered things and own by outthinking people :D

So I'm thinking about buying the game but I'm a little concerned about stability issues with servers and stuff. Are there reasons I should maybe wait?

It's far from unplayable and it's been literally 2days from launch, calm down.
