Was able to get around or through enemy lines with some smoke usage. It is also quite possible the other team just didn't know how to deal with it properly at the time. Just smoking the MCOM can be really useful if you can't get in there to plant because of snipers and whatnot. Not sure if it will have many uses in conquest, however.

Saves you from aircraft, other vehicles, and rockets for the most part. I used it extensively with the tank so that I could buy myself time to repair without getting sniped and it actually can help if an attack helicopter starts shooting rockets down your throat. I can see similar things working for infantry as protection from vehicles or to support their own vehicles.

Also that's why the AK-101/AK-47 were so imbal compared to the M16 <_< Anyways yeah if anyone is complaining about the combat system in BF3 go fire up some Karkand and get equally ripped to shreds and then complain ![]() As I mentioned, BF2 doesn't use CoD's damage or spread, so It's utterly pointless to compare BF3's damage to BF2's so directly Limbs and body armor take roughly 2/3rds damage. Even the AK47 doesn't kill in 3 hits max, even though it does 37 damage or whatever, and there's pretty much no way to land 3 hits in one burst with that gun at range anyways. There's a reason why grenades are so common as long-range weapons in BF2

You can play with friends now, just join them via your friendslist and you'll be put in the same squad. Problem is to get all your mates inside before someone else joins, so you pretty much have to meet up on an empty server then wait for some opponents.

Most of the time ill be lying there, and shot by someone who couldnt possibly see me. (Like, im in prone in a hallway, looking at the way in with the other end camped by teammates, and someone apparently runs in and shoots me dead before I can react) There is a bug where players run around as a corpse, might be that. Also the proned hitbox seems to be completely screwed up.

Operation Metro features Choke Points, Close Combat, and Confined Areas. These features are definitely things that do not define the battlefield experience. Even if I am playing with friends.

Metro is probably the only FPS map I've played on (realistic fps) that made me go WOW! It feels like I'm airsofting with my friends and not playing a twitch reflex game! If you can rally your troops behind those chokes, as Al Qaeda you can really eat away at the tickets of the attackers... Its cool that this game/map allows strategic decisions as well as player skill to decide the outcome.

Seems you are very misinformed with conquest and the bigger maps (and of people who have played it which really is a relief to play it myself and see it is good) ^_^

Unfortunately, I left all my CDs back at home, so I had to settle for the rather interesting substitute known as BF Play4Free. Perhaps I should make a trip to the local Gamestop to satisfy my craving.

I find it extremely enjoyable, there are some bugs, but its beta not release. and more maps will be awsome has a WAY HIGHER skill cap than CoD and is extremely more difficult than CoD... will def buy it when it releases for a game to play when i am too tired/too busy for SC2 ladder matches. The bigger maps with more people = LOTS more fun than any of the CoD games, the battles feel semi-realistic. (i am not a fan of 5v5 or 8v8... but 16 v 16 is pretty decent) Different enough from CoD but similar enough that moving isnt TOO bad, and this game is infinitely more rewarding... tho tbh i wish you would start with more gun choices... Also I didnt get a gun i enjoyed until level 6..? i think. Took too long to get a gun i actually enjoyed using... might lose some players interest very quickly like this

The guns unlocking issue you're talking about is kind of foreign to me tbh I enjoyed pretty much all the starting guns and with the right scopes I can only tell a small difference between my f2000 and a m16. On a semi off topic note I believe a lot of new bf players playing bf for the first time are going to see that operation metro is tiny compared to the other maps and engaging targets at 100m+ is A LOT harder to do than in operation where most engagement are 20-50m
