Just don't have anything to offer since I don't follow the competitive side of Magic.... If anyone is interested in discussing a little Commander/EDH, lemme know. Always up for hearing cool deck ideas for EDH. ![]()

I prefer Zedruu antics. "Donate" Celestial Dawn to a non-white-playing commander. Grin all day. ![]()

Also Vendillion Clique as General is like public offender number 1 in casual EDH. Basically if I sit down and I see you with VC as your Commander, two things come to mind, you are a giant dick and you will be target number 1. It's not the unsummon stuff, the whole point of VC is to literally take infinite turns. Play Flare effects like Caged Sun, High Tide, take extra turns off of all of the time walking cards, draw a bunch of cards, do it again. VC protects the combo and getting 8 extra turns is cake (that's enough turns for general damage to kill them). I am piloting a Mayel of the Anima right now for casual play among friends and have the VC deck in back up for all the people who don't like playing with just so we can move it along.

At the moment I have a Mayael the Anima EDH deck for fun, non-competative multiplayer EDH games. I also have a Jhoira of the Ghitu I'd like to build a deck with, but so far all I've thought up is suspending Eldrazi or the blue suspended Leviathan that ticks down everytime someone else casts a spell. Edit: Also, I'd like to eventually be able to try and build some other fun and competitive EDH decks from my other stock of cards. So far, the ones that catch my attention are: Akroma, Angel of Fury Krenko, Mob Boss Melira, Sylvok Outcast Sheoldred, Whispering One Skithyrix, the Blight Dragon Numot, the Devastator Sen Triplets Glissa, the Traitor Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (aka Niv-Mizzet 1.0) Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord Anyone know of some fun/interesting things I can do with any of those creatures, let me know.

Arcum is a deck that usually tries to get Darksteel Forge, Disk, and maybe Mycosyth Lattice into play. Jhoira is another hated general, Obliterate (or any mass sweeper) with other cards suspended makes the most fun game state, obviously. Sharuum for enabling infinite ETB with Sculpting Steel/Metamorph. If you make Niv Mizzet, do NOT include Curiosity/Ophidian Eye, it's what makes Niv hated. (Although if you want competetive, Niv isn't terrible, but competitive EDH is like saying competitive BGH in starcraft) Glissa is a pretty interesting deck if built right. Competetive EDH is awful, it's like saying competitive casual. Just play proxied Vintage if you want to play competetive EDH.

And how much would i need to spend on average to play mtgo? Not super-competitivly but i'd like to play small online tournaments and stuff (no need for uber deck, but id like to have a fighting chance)? Sorry if those questions are already answered, couldnt really find anything in the OP, and didnt want to search 200+ pages. Thanks ![]()

Can you make a mark of it so we can get that put on the OP. Glurio's like the 3rd poster that I can recall regarding beginner help. I know some of you have already posted on the matter iirc which would make this a lot easier for new players.
