Of course none of this is new, there have been plenty of phone taps leaked onto youtube featuring Porto's president, other Porto management figures, football agents related to Porto, referees, league officials, all very clearly talking about buying out referees in order to favour Porto. In one case, Porto's president also humoursly admits to have ordered some thugs to beat up a referee who wasn't very kind to Porto after that night's match. Pretty much everyone here knows this is pervasive. And, as usual, nothing will happen.

It wasn't just one year, the evidence points toward a whole era from the 90's to 2000's, and who knows if it still goes on.

Answer that question. | ||

In a developed country, a club found to buy out referees would be demoted and the people involved would be banned from football.

Yes, pretty much everyone knows that since a year :p The question was just the time he joins, but that he will join Bayern was already leaked last year by him and the board of Bayern. Transfer fee is rumored to be about 18 million € + up to 7 million depending on success.

For a keeper that young, yeah, it is a bit on the cheap side.

Last 15 minutes Barça was happy to have the ball doing nothing while Levante was happy looking at them, no need to risk injuries when something as big as the CL finals are coming up. Barça is averaging 2,875 goals per game, thats boredom for you. Let the hate continue.

Not ridicously cheap, but you have to consider that he has a high marketing value because he is the #1 in our national team, he can be considered the best keeper in the world at the moment and he just turned 25, which is really young for a classy goalkeeper. Additionally goalies can play for many years and usually get better the older they become, so it is a really good investment in my opinion. And when you had a Oliver Kahn for years you feel the need to have one of the very best goalies in the world.
