It was said he was gonna go to some premier league team some years ago but he finally stayed here so yeah there you go Espanyol's asset nowadays are young players, both from youth team and acquired from elsewhere. If the team is not ranked even higher it's because they're not really solid as most of them are like 20 years old, specially the defense line, the players of which were playing in some lower leagues just a year ago.
