Regardless of the fucking terrible decision to send Van Persie off for...well for whatever that was for, Wenger is wrong when he says that they would won if it hadn't happened. Sorry, but before he went off and after Arsenal had no shots, on target or off. None. Zero. The only shot came from Busquets who scored into his own net. Barca stopped them on the break every single time.

I don't think there were really any other poor decisions from the ref other than that, apart from possibly not giving Barca a penalty in the first half.

To all the people saying Arsenal had 0 shots, got dominated first half blah blah blah... who cares? The 1st leg at Emirates last season Arsenal did nothing in the first half and got dominated, even in the early stages of the second half where they conceded two goals, but still managed to get something out of it.

A game has two halves and the ref sure fucked up the 2nd half, softest red card (not saying that Arsenal would have won if RVP stayed on), Abidal / Adriano should have at least been give yellows for putting their hands around the throats of RVP / Nasri respectively.

Fabregas was horrible and should have gone off when he felt the pain in his hamstring 15 mins instead of staying on and contributing nothing.

Loved how when Abidal went down all play has to be stopped, but then when Wilshere goes down and play gets stopped Barca players are all whinging, and like someone posted earlier, Barca players are no different than C.Ronaldo, Busquets / Dani Alves are disgusting divers, Victor Valdez the trash keeper seems to love getting involved in everything running half the field to start fights.

Nothing compares to the Chelsea / Barcelona tie though, definitely the worst referee'ing i've ever seen.

While the Barcelona - Arsenal match had some pretty bad refereeing in favour of Barcelona it doesn't even come close to when Chelsea battered them and lost 1-0... Or as close to something like South Korea vs Spain a good few years ago.

that and something like 6 other situations that would sometimes result in a penalty where something like 3 of the incidents actually were penalties, and where they got absolutely 0. No single decision was THAT horrible, it was more like 7 incidents between 20/80 and 80/20 for or against penalty where every single decision favoured barcelona.

That was the game where there were multiple penalties none of which were given by the ref, so that probably did happen. It was also the game where Ballack chased down the ref screaming in his face down the entire touchline and when Drogba lost his head and started shouting "its a fucking disgrace" to the cameras. Horrible day (I'm a Chelsea fan).

Barcelona do seem to get an awful lot going in their favor in the champions league. I seem to recall not so long ago Busquets being a dirty cheat getting someone sent off vs Inter.

Not to take away from Barcelona though, really, a few dubious decisions aside, they are the best side in the world at the moment in my opinion, their midfield is just incredible.

I hate conspiracy theories (and I don't believe this one either). But you could get some followers with this stuff! :

1) Fifa probably is corrupt and accepts bribes. + Show Spoiler +

Panorama and the BBC investigated and found members accepting bribes. Sepp Blatter refused to allow his organisation to be investigated properly.
The World Cup bidding process was controversial at best, I won't go into that now.

2) Mr Blatter dislikes the English league. This is one of many outspoken comments by him:

Its just so easy to say theres a conspiracy in favor of barca if you ignore all the bad calls also, and they are a lot of them. I think the more reasonable explanation is that a referee, at least subconsciously, tends to favor the home team, especially if the other side is playing destructive football and is constantly trying to delay the game.
Let's not forget Arsenal only had a fighting chance because Barca scored an own goal.
