This year, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan will play their final in the home of Real Madrid: the stunning Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, which is hosting its first Champions League final since 1980.

Bayern Munich
For Bayern Munich, the main piece of news is that Franck Ribery will still be suspended for the Champions League final after tackle on Lisandro Lopez back in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Lyon.
Inter Milan
Inter will be without Thiago Motta for this match due to suspension from a red card against Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal, and will also be without Davide Santon due to injury.

Think Inter will win in extra time, 1-1 or 2-2 Regular time and inter wins in overtime, go Sneijder, sneijder gonna be the star of world cup together with Van Persie for Netherlands anyways and he will be legendary winning a legendary Quatro.

i'd say inter 2-1 bayern. ( with milito, sneijder, olic scoring)
i don't agree that netherlands will get very far in the world cup tho.. they have a weak defence IMO

Definitely Bayern gonna get that, they r so lucky this season with the match with Fiorentina and the silly red card, if they cant win Inter then they r just a bunch of useless guys praying for luck everygame.
In technically, inter is more favorable but since i hate mourinho so much, dont want to say that inter gonna win

pretty nice game so far, inter look pretty comfortable. It's funny the core of both teams are made up of ex real madrid fringe players. I wonder how the Bernabeu support feels.

In the US this is being shown on the major basic cable Fox TV station. Really cool to see Fox stepping up. Only a few world cup games are shown on basic cable(ABC). So excited, hope to see more football/soccer to the masses.

Bayern lost because their defense is horrible.
Lahm WORLDCLASS at the left, decides to play on the right cause he likes it more.
Their leftback is a TRAINED centre back. FAVORING vanbuyten/demichelis for Lucio.
Wtf, their defense is crap even for the Bundesliga.

We barely got to see any of Maicon's awesomeness because nearly all of Bayern threat only came from the right side.
All their balls went to Robben and it looked like they didn't really change their plan at all.

I enjoy how mourinhou takes pandev and eto'o... and makes them play 4-5-1
seriously, take a notorious headcase two time top scorer in la liga and tell him "yeah, go play defensive right midfield, and no, you don't score any goals"

DIEGO Milito is not left out of the WC squad, GABRIEL his brother is left out of the squad.

Inter deserved to win. Bayern could have come back if Inter wouldn't have scored the 2:0.
Dammnnn it, Bayern's offense was on par with Inter only the defense is too bad. Van Buyten is too slow for CL that was obvious since Fiorentina.
The first goal was a long ball counter attack from Milito and Sneijder vs Lahm Van Buyten Demichelis and Badstuber. How can you not mark the 2nd attacker in such a situation ? Wheres the ball going to be ??? Van Buyten didn't mark Sneijder ... clearly his fault but also from his teammaates.
The second goal, well again 2 vs 4 ... nothing to say Van Buyten just pathetic ... slow and immobile like an old man.
I hope Rumenigge and Hoeness will learn from this and buy some quality defenders. Bayern can not always rely on Robben/their offense ...

bayern just played bad and inter defended really good, their offensive with 3-4 guys created more danger than bayern did. cant win games if u just pass from side to side in slowmotion, thats not how u create chances <:

Bayern did have as many chances as Inter had. The difference is that after the 1:0 Inter just turtled and counter attacked. That is why it was so difficult to create chances against them, (like Barca-Inter ) ... The reason was just the bad defense of Bayern compared to Inters.

Eto'o has definitely evolved these past years. He might've been egoistic in the past but I'm constantly amazed at how hard working and self sacrificial he is nowadays.
Seeing and experiencing how annoying Balotelli is prolly helped him gain some insights about himself

I agree, I like badstuber a lot.
But he's just not suited as a left back, especially with Bayern's offensive system. Let him play as a centre back, Lahm as a left back, get a good right back (Srna?) and then watch greatness unfold.
But with this back four Bayern will never win a CL final.

van buyten should never have had to guard milito one on one in the first place since thats not his strength. Van Bommel or someone should've been back there helping out.

Well Badstuber played bad cuz he couldn't bring some good flanks into the penalty zone or didn't make any runs. Inter was playing with 1 attacker and mostly through the middle. He was practically untested the whole time and should have used his liberty to provide some good combinations with Altintop. Therefore his spot was just useless, Van Gaal could have brought Contento instead.
Lahm was actually good, he did put up a fight although a little late imo.

Imho Robben played very well he was constantly the threat to Inters defense even when he was marked by Chivu and Cambiasso. The future is bright for Bayern if they can keep Robbery and add some quality defenders. If Gomez doesn't perform Bayern should switch him with someone who suits in Van Gaals system. He's like the Ibrahimovic of Munich...
From Inter, Milito was the best player on the field followed by Cesar and Sneijder. Cesar made some good saves this game.

I really didn't like this final at all. Not because I'm a Bayern fan, but this game was so damn repetitive and had so few good offensive actions. In the end Bayern lost because they have serious problems in their defence (especially van Buyten) and their inability to cope with inter's defensive playstyle. You really should get more than 1-2 scoring chances troughout a game with a 70% ball possession. I really think Ribery would have made a big difference in this game.
Anyways, Inter deserved to win, congratz to them.
