I think you will have to pay for it in some way. How else could they afford to run servers for it? :s

There has been no official statement on which payment model they are going to use though.

There is a beta key contest on www.blgaming.com for 2 Bloodline Champions Beta Keys. Contest ends June 18th at 11:59pm -

Also - the first BLC Cash Tournament will be coming up this Saturday (June 19th). Same site for rules and registration - Should be an awesome turnout (attracting EU and US players for a closed beta cash tourney!)

I'm having a hard case of abstinence now that the servers are down during the weekdays. When I met with my friend who is also in the beta he said he felt the same way and we talked for hours about different hero abilities and things that had happened during play. It was some times since I felt this hyped about a game. I hope more of you get a chance to try it out.

I really wish people were paying more attention to this game, it is just SO damn fun. It seems to be pretty balanced, they already have ratings, solo and team ladders, and match making. The combat is incredibly fun, and the matches are exactly as long as they should be. You really just want to mass games whenever you play. Every match, win or lose, just makes you want to get better at your hero and understand how to cooperate with other heroes to beat certain comps and play styles.

EVERYONE should be anticipating this game's release.

As for the first two, i gave them out to the first two who posted in this thread (it was like 3 posts total in after 48 hours).

Just found 2 people from sweden to make a team with. Nice guys and we're all of similar skill levels. It's SO much fun to play with friends. Even 2v2, which there's no ladder for unfortunately, is very very fun and competitive. We should be tearing up the 3v3 ladder once the servers come back up TT

Played against Walka just now, ex #1 in the world WoW arena player. I actually knew him from the server I used to play on, my best friend played tons of games against him and later joined <sup fresh our turn baby>. Both Walka and my friend were REAL good at arena.

I didn't find the game too fun. :/ Maybe I was expecting too much from it. It just feels like some WoW arena which I never liked.

Calling this game like DotA/LoL/HoN seems ridiculous.
This game is just a Varation on Nox (1999), or Guild Wars (2005).

This game looks good in it's own right, but Nox and Guild Wars seem like they have so much more content and uniqueness to them.

This game just looks like it could be made in SC2 (or WC3)... which doesn't make it very unique.

Regardless of if you could make this game in the sc2/wc3 editor, it hasn't been done before. I don't see why a game that has been made to stress competitive, skillful, and fair play should be judged on a basis of uniqueness, because it's not a super unique game. It DOES play like Nox and LoL, but it changed the parts of those games that aren't in the spirit of esports. That's what is important here.

Yeah, this is not a game I would recommend to someone that hated the type of PvP WoW's arena offered. To each his own.
