I wish there was a way for the Celtics to win, but not Rasheed.

And if you look at the elbow he hit KG with last game, it was just clearing out after the board, it's a completely standard basketball move. O_O The completely standard basketball move when rebounding is keeping your arms straight and as high as possible in order to minimize the chance for a steal. This is the modern NBA, not the 80s. People become stars off of "accidental" fouls (*cough*brucebowen*cough*), each of these guys gets payed millions - so they will use every trick in the book to win, especially in playoff games, and more so when at home (refs are influenced by the crowd, you can't block it completely out). Next you'll be saying that Fisher broke Nash's nose, and then hit it again the next game... both by accident. It looked that way. I think it's naive to think that Howard isn't abusing his superstar influence to get away with cheap shots (just like Kobe, Pierce, LBJ, CP3, etc).

And how was Fisher's hit on Nash a cheap shot? Shit just happens lol. ' I don't know if you can call the league soft when you have people going out with concussions, swollen eyes and broken noses all over the place. This isn't boxing.

I know its the NBA, but in the NCAA it can be an automatic ejection (happened to Manny Harris from Michigan )

Hes a good athlete but IMO didnt really improve at all at Michigan. His jumper needs a lot of work to be at the NBA level (granted it can be improved, hell look at Derrick Rose). He also needs to work on his ball handling. Seems like a tough guy though who could be around for years if he fixes his game up.

I realize that elbows are brutal, but it's not like players are just flaring out with elbows. This is what you do: rise up, grab a rebound, you bring the ball lower, swivel your torso (hence the elbow movement) to clear space. It's not like players are just flailing around with their elbows recklessly, they're short, controlled movements aimed at clearing space to secure the ball. The difference is that Dwight's elbows are like titanium bricks and he can knock people out with his elbows. Sure, it's not the cleanest basketball play possible, but it's far from "dirty", it's part of the game.

His shot and body definitely need to improve, but I think he's always got the potential to go off.
