Considering buying the game with 4 of my friends ...
Only questions i have is about the difficulty:
Will the game get harder later on? Will it be like something like just add 1000x Dmg on monsters and there you go inferno difficulty? (u know what i mean :D) Hows the difficulty scaling with a party , cuz iam proberbly only gonna play with my friends.
Thanks guys

Yes an no, while with most solo mage/outlander builds u'll be dying in 2 hits lategame on elite, but everything feels dojable and reasonable, especially if you have an engineer to tank damage. Damage output wise you never feel (as long as you do "powerbuilds" and have decent gear) that anything has too much HP

Thanks. It would appear there are no +skill affixes, too bad, I think it allows the player even more to specialize in his build:|

Partying is actually harder than soloing in this game, unless your entire party builds around being in a party. This means that melee deals no damage, everyone takes their defensive auras/buffs, and the team will deal damage through ranged classes not having to kite at all and pets/summons.
I'd suggest veteran difficulty. Elite gets kinda boring and you have to overgear or abuse the AI to kill bosses.

This was not cheap, but hopefully it will pay itself out...

Ah, ok, now i feel stupid. Didn't know they hang out around here (But of course why wouldn't they, it's cool here). Well, in that case, thanks for taking interest and dealing with stuff.

Hold onto it until level 85+ imo. Preferably 100, but I'm not exactly sure when the highest item levels start showing up in the vendor.

Thank you very much

There was nothing wrong with inferno on diablo3. If you thought it was too hard either you did something wrong or you don't love to farm items. (which is what you do in Diablo style games)

I never said it was too hard , I actualy found it too easy. I thought the difficulty scaling in D3 was horrible, all they did is add another affix for champs, and up the dmg of all monsters to an amount that was not funny and tada! u got inferno ...
Why are developers getting so lazy? Why cant they add new skills , or challenges that actualy require effort in any sort like dodging/attacking/certain gear for certain mobs and much more ...

Is there a mod for a bigger stash out already? I like keeping a large collection of uniques, but i am too lazy to mule a lot.

The mod tools haven't been released yet.

torchlight works a lot with spamming enemies on me, i like that a lot more than diablo3s approach of making all the mobs supersaiyans. Diablo 3 also had a lot of cheesy mobs like those snakes or sandcrawlers, who are completely invulnerable until in melee range.
or orpessors who oneshot with their charge, but i think they patched that out, as they did with invul minions.
|
as a monk, i liked invulnerable minions. serenity -> kill reduced hp mob in like 5 hits
also TL2 ain't exactly void of cheesy mobs. there are mobs almost exactly like opressors and then there's those homing projectiles

accidentally destroyed my harbinger breeches when i wanted to retrieve a 6 mf gem from my celestial belt to slot it into a new harbinger belt. FUCK MY LIFE.

While the mod tools are not officially out, it is still possible to mod the game - and there are quite a few out there. The short version is that someone figured out how to easily extract the game info and create .PAK files. all you have to do is download and extract the files to your mods folder

This one changes your stash so you can place any item on any tab, "expanding" your inventory for items.

for all of you wanting to respec and/or redistribute stat points, here you go.

i reccomend the mod that increases view distance, especially if you play solo.

the mod makes mobs spawn before they get in screen range, it does not change the camera itself.
