I dunno about touhou 13.

On one hand the music is really really really good. Like I don't have an issue with any of the music in any of the stages.

On the other hand the game is easy. I don't know if it's just me or something but the extra stage in particular was easy as hell. Most of the stage was just a bunch of easy streaming. The boss had a few cards that were difficult...and that BUG is really annoying. Lunatic has some FUCK YOU moments but every touhou has those in varying degrees.

So I like touhou 13, just because it's a touhou game and the music is incredible. I would like to have it been a bit harder I suppose? I dunno. There doesn't seem to be as much required movement in this one as opposed to say 6 or 11 or even 7

The real saving grace is that Marisa is fucking awesome in this game and I'm pretty much a straight Marisa player. This is GOOD.

Just tried Touhou 13, gotta say the music is quite good but bosses aren't really memorable, some very nice spellcards though. Youmu's focus attack was pretty weird, fitting but I couldn't really utilize it to the maximum.

It's usually longer. This one felt pretty short.

Meh, it's not as good as CROW'SCLAW or Demetori, but IRON ATTACK! is quite a bit more prolific than either of them, so you get a lot more of their stuff. I don't particularly like the vocals, and the lead guitar feels bland and uninspired at times, but it's overall fairly good.

Started listening to some group called foreground eclipse who do metal touhou songs I'm not sure what to make of it has anyone else heard of them? They often put screams into their songs.

I meant their C80 album in particular, which doesn't have vocal.

But yeah I still like Demetori and CROW'SCLAW more than IRON ATTACK!.

Oh. Well, I haven't given that album a listen yet. I'll check it out when I have time.

As mentioned above, CROW'SCLAW and Demetori are both outstanding metal circles. I suggest you check then out, along with UI-70 (and maybe Magnum Opus if you don't mind a healthy dose of synths).

1st Major Project is going to be a perfect lunatic Stage 6 TD completion if only to hear the theme over and over. By Major I mean...well...probably about a dozen or so tries. The stage sadly isn't that hard.

Man this theme is amazing though.

The iron attack album is pretty good, not their best but better then the 2 previous vocal ones. Fills in the no demetori void a bit. Also, TAMUSIC's final fantasy violin album is amazing.

C-CLAYS, ENS and Silver forest were all meh though :\

I've never really had much trouble with remembering the names of various Touhou songs, but with the release of Ten Desires, I've found myself having to reference the Touhou wiki almost constantly to remember most of the names. On my latest visit there, I realized that I compiled a music list for JSH and I a few months back, and that I should probably update it and let everyone else use it if they wish. It's not complete yet (the ZUN albums featuring Usami Renko and Maribel Han, along with Touhou 1 through 5, have yet to be compiled), but I'll get around to it soon.

Here ya go!

EDIT: Updated with Touhou 1 through 5.

For the purposes of this guide, any official game within the Touhou series that holds its own number on the number scale (1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, etc.), and adheres to the standard stage-based danmaku style is a “main series” game. Given their roles as flagship titles, their music libraries are more expansive and orderly. This guide will note the songs in each game in the following order:

Title Theme

Stage 1 Boss Theme
Stage 2 Theme

(Additional songs that fall outside this format will be placed in the table where I feel it is most appropriate and in-tune with the chronology of the game.)

Occasionally, a given song may have two or more valid translations from the original Japanese name. In these cases, all known alternate names will be given.

+ Show Spoiler [Spinoff Games] +
For the purposes of this guide, any official game within the Touhou series that is denoted by a decimal number (7.5, 10.5, 12.3, etc.), and does not follow the usual stage-based danmaku style, is a “spinoff” game. This includes the three fighting games (IaMP, SWR, and Hisotensoku), the two photography games (StB and DS), and Fairy Wars. The smaller music tables here can be attributed to the fact that many tracks are simple “pre-battle” themes that are generally very obscure and rarely arranged; because of this, only the more commonly arranged tracks (along with entirely new ones) will be displayed in the tables. Additionally, due to the lack of traditional “stages”, there is no real organization to the listed songs. Finally, many tracks from the main series are reproduced and/or remixed in the spinoff series; for the sake of organization and avoiding duplication, any track from the main series that is reproduced in a spinoff game will be omitted.
