if you hear Apparitions Stalk the Night, the WAV starts on E, but the MIDI sounds like it's between Eb and E.
FUUUU zun xD
Edit: Gah, I can't figure it out. I don't know if I'm actually listening correctly or if I'm fitting the notes with the overtones and thinking that it's the right note.
Locked Girl also sounds like it starts on E on WAV and Eb on MIDI, but I can't tell if it starts instead on G (WAV). Of course it's probably a mix of two notes too <_>
For Apparitions Stalk the Night, MIDI starts D# WAV starts on E... I think sounds a bit off :<

jk. I'll just do the MIDI version from now on. It's just sad that the arrangers have to have such disagreeing opinions, and transcribing a good arrangement into the "right" key takes a bit of time.
JSH do u happen to play guitar? Then you me and Aeres can... make Touhou band videos :D :D :D (play separately and edit them together). i can pretend to play the guitar

shh that won't help if you post it here! heheh

Dangit, you guys are so informed and go so fast that you guys make me almost afraid to post XD. Anyways, this song has been intriguing me since yesterday, not sure if it was posted yet in any compilations yet or what not. It's Meiling's theme by Rokugen Alice + Show Spoiler +

I really like that Shanghai Alice of Meiji 17. Somehow, Rokugen Alice manages to make the song so many genres; rock elements are spliced with orchestrated segments that for whatever reason come out Oriental-sounding, and the vocals add in their own theme, making for a piece that wouldn't sound out of place in the climactic moment of a movie or video game. And to top it all off, the meaning of the lyrics are quite dramatic, seemingly voicing the chronicles of Hong Mei-Ling.
Very, very nice.
EDIT: I was going to add a new song to the thread, but I honestly don't think that the Fires of Hokkai I linked a day or so back got the recognition it deserves, so I'll link it a final time.

Gonna do something a bit different with this next playlist. I was thinking of tackling Phantasmagoria of Flower View, but there really aren't too many songs unique to the game (a lot of the soundtrack consists of remixed themes from prior games, like those of Mystia and Youmu). I considered just listing two of each song and removing the Encore section, but I didn't want the repeats to be too severe.
And then I discovered Tabula Rasa.
For this reason, the Phantasmagoria playlist will encompass songs from both Dim.Dream and Flower View. In the interest of saving space, only the highlight tracks from Dim.Dream will be used, and only the unique tracks from Flower View will make it in. Also, since I generally associate the word "phantasmagoria" with narcotics ("Dude, I'm, like, so fuckin' trippin! It's a fuckin' phantasmagoria, bro!"), the majority of the tracks will be more mellow and subdued than usual. The Encore will contain mostly rock/metal, but aside from a handful of standouts, the main playlist will consist of softer works.
+ Show Spoiler [Phantasmagoria] + *This is the WTF track. Just a fair warning.
EDIT: There's a secret! Find it!

Oh man. I think this was my first song on my favorites list on Youtube EVER. In fact, I think it was this song that made me really start to search out Touhou songs. I'm glad it was showcased again. In fact, it's still on my list XD, thus making Byakuren my favorite character of all time, Namu-san :D.

+ Show Spoiler [Mountain of Faith Playlist] +
A few notes:
- I think the video art from Sealed Gods is fucking adorable.
- The Venerable Ancient Battlefield has a low moment (the first part of the recognizable theme, where the singer keeps spamming "chi". It's a bit distracting.

- I'm not sure about the composer for Princess Inada. The video makes it seem like it could be a joint work between the circles "Sound." and "Ecriture", or the circle itself could be "Sound./Ecriture". Dunno.
- I've never heard Native Faith done in a techno style. It may not be the best arrangement, but it's unique enough that I felt it warranted a mention.
- I try not to repeat artists in the main list (the Encore is obviously different), but MoF's Player's Score is so rarely done and Golden City Factory did such a good job that it had to make it in the list.
Overall, I think this is my worst playlist. Oh, well.

I'm liking the circle, MAIKAZE
The Mystery in Your Town + Show Spoiler + His voice is quite soothing I feel like the bass is a bit too much emphasized though Over shadows the vocals a bit and makes the song sound a bit too dark Should emphasize the vocals more But hooray for EQ \o/
