I think my order is going to be: Imperishable Night -> Embodiment of Scarlet Devil -> ???
any suggestions? Definitely fit in Perfect Cherry Blossom somewhere in there. Shoot the Bullet and Double Spoiler are fun and differently-paced too, but maybe I'd save them until you know the characters, since they're kinda like boss rush mode (don't know how else to describe this) and it's just more fun if you actually have seen the bosses in their respective games first. Personally, I'd do Perfect Cherry Blossom before Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. EoSD was a bitch for me to learn because of the lack of a visible hitbox. It took me learning the basics of the game in IN, and refining my skill in PCB, to have any luck in EoSD. But that's just me, your results may vary.
Anyway, here's one of my new favorite songs. I've yet to hear many great arrangements of Extend Ash ~ Hourai Victim (which is steadily climbing the ladder of my favorite songs), so this mix by SYNC.ART'S was great to hear.

I haven't been playing in ages and decided to give a try to see how I would fare after so long brake (counting months), so few days backwards I picked up IN and zoom, with some unneccesary panic bombing and stupid suiciding at stage 4&5 bosses I ended up at Final A.
Everything went quite well and I managed to get suprisingly many cards down, I think I hadn't even seen all of them before and my exitement rose to another level when I entered her final spellcard... in the end however she had 10% and quite some time left, I had still two bombs and bang, my ancient PC (this was over at my parents' house whom I was visiting at the time and playing to pass the short time before dinner) just shut itself down.
I think this is one of those very few times I've seriously considered just throwing it out of the window, I had to go and get something to drink and calm down. Prehaps if I played it more often I might finally 1CC some games. It seems that some patterns and overall reacting to most hitboxes stays even after long brakes if you just focus a bit.
Oh well, some other time I guess

going to check out more from that album/circle

To add, EoSD and PCB can be annoying with the v-sync patch. IN is definitely the easiest. Also, a hitbox patch does exist for EoSD, but most people would say it's better to get used to knowing where your hitbox is without having to look at the character (so reading incoming danmaku is easier).

I've lately been enthralled by UI-70's latest album. The music is awesome, of course, but the album art is incredible. I wish I knew who created it, so I could see more of their work.

EDIT: Fixed link.

After months of trying and somewhere between 50 to 100 attempts, I finally got EoSD lunatic. Did it with MarisaB. Probably not the most pretty run through, but I'm really satisfied having finally finished it. Now I can dedicate myself playing some of the other games.

Can you keep track of these on your blog or something~? I want to be able to reference them later to check out some groups :3

Idk, I think you should start with EoSD as most people start with that first, and it was sort of made for beginners xD
and most of the characters/music in EoSD are more "iconic" than the ones in other games because of that
and overall it was pretty solid

that looks like it took a really long time to make that post :p
My favorite set of songs is from Imperishable Night, so these were pretty awesome to hear. My favorite song is Cinderella Cage ~ Kagome-Kagome + Show Spoiler +

Why would you say EoSD was made for beginners? It didn't have boss position marker on the bottom of the screen, no hit box and had a really really high difficulty
If anything Imperishable Night would probably made for beginners as the death bomb timing is ridiculously large, tons of lives, relatively easy, and the OP combo of Reimu/Yukari
