She wants to know if she had touhou CDs like that, would people buy them or not. I told her people won't, but she wants other people's opinions so ![]() I may depending on price/shipping/rarity/etc. I'm not a frequent buyer though; more of a pirate >_>

Omg it's Rumia! Also yes depending on price. If it looks nice and I want it i'll probably get it anyways. I don't even know what shrink wrap looks like or what it's exactly for tho, so if someone is like me they'll probably buy it anways :D

after working on this 8 hours straight then another hour today to fix up some errors... this is what I got for Soul as Red as a Ground Cherry http://www.mediafire.com/?2ka004k8ppwz8zx The MIDI isn't perfect of course, but I did set the general volumes of each part. Some things that don't come out properly include the ending, where it just goes from the first ending to the second ending, since I wasn't able to get MuseScore to recognize what I wanted the music to do. The ending is a bit awkward and I had a bit of trouble getting the right instrument/voices to cover the right notes of the chords at the end (or maybe that's just the software not being accurate or drowning out other instrument sounds to make it sound imbalanced). Right now someone else in my group already reviewed it and said he had "drastic" changes except for the guitar/bass part. Whatever that means xD. Anyways, if you can take a look/hear, what do you think? From the MIDI, I think I got it pretty close to the original. The electric guitar sounds similar as well, but that's probably just cus MuseScore's electric guitar doesn't sound like the real thing xD. Towards the end, with the high part, I had each instrument/part join in at each segment to create a kind of unifying feel. The last segment of these parts was played only by piano instead of by all the parts, to get the music to "thin" back out before the finale with the fast piano part and where all the voices come together. Thanks for any feedback! :D (honestly I don't see anything too wrong with the piece except for the ending like I already mentioned, so I'm hoping he's exaggerating a bit with changing the piece "drastically", and I'm dying to know what he wanted to change but he seems to be sleeping now xD)

Trumpet is playing the trumpet part, with the flute and violin covering the trumpet part as well but playing the higher part (the harmony), while the trumpet is playing the lower voice, the main melody. Would be ideal if I had 2 trumpets instead, but I don't xD. Also, the high/soft countermelody somewhere in the middle has the trumpet playing; I planned for the trumpet to have a mute at this area so it's not so loud and stately. Hopefully that + flute/violin can give it a softer sound like in the original. Piano is covering the mallet-ish parts of the original, if I use a keyboard I can maybe change the voice from piano to something slightly closer Clarinets are playing the other voices that also sound like mallet. They only play the main melody towards the ending parts where all the instruments come together. Otherwise, they play the synth stuff that you don't really get to hear in the WAV (even the official MIDI is hard to hear, almost inaudible). One clarinet is playing bass clarinet for some small parts of the song, namely the very noticeable bass line with the slowing moving notes during the part of the song where the trumpet is playing the melody. At the 2nd to last part, with the 4 octave 16th notes from the piano leading up to the high/loud part, I have both piano and flute playing that part, and the flute only playing the note run leading to the next phrase, where the clarinets join in, they play their note run leading to the next phrase, where the violin joins in, then the trumpet joins in for the last phrase, then the piano finishes that section with another note run leading to the finale.

the major concerns I have with the arrangement are: 1) potential balance issues, what with the electric guitars vs traditional woodwind 2) it lacks dynamics/musicality, so still feels like BGM instead of a real piece 3) some weird bits, but I should've let you know about all of those via skype I swapped the MIDI instruments with EWQLSO VSTs (also a few instruments, like bass guitar/guitar for some strings) so you can actually tell what's going on in the piece - maybe if I feel like it I'll swap a different genre of instruments in if I feel like it http://www.mediafire.com/?0j63mc35kurl6lq

Also just checked out aeres's picture of reimu, HOLY SHIT scary o.o disturbing Also JSH, that arrange of Dream battle is SO good! It's unique and all. On first hearing it was good. I'll probably grow to like it more since it doesn't sound too simple/repetitive the more I listen to it. Expecting it to reach my epic playlist xD Also, thanks d3. Even though we're already talking in skype kekek. O wait u mentioned that xD

Although, to be fair, Yellow Zebra is a shitty fucking name compared to R-Note, so I guess I'm not really complaining.

Well, nice to see them back together I guess. Maybe disbanding and reforming might have been a strategy to attract attention Also, haven't seen that picture of rumia before
