Also depends on skill level of course, but on average I find Soku matches are faster, mainly due to the fact carding in 7.5 gives you back red life, which can extend games quite a while longer as for most characters can not punish after a card activation and it has invincibility frames. Then again 7.5 is said to be the "better" game....
You're supposed to punish before the activation  you need to declare on a knockdown or a guess. In Soku there's flight and such which make it feel a bit more hide-and-seek.

EDIT: Wait a fucking second. The Shinbi account was created December '09... the same time JeeJee started his name change campaign. This makes no sense. Why make an account with the name you wanted your main account to have? And why lobby for the change if you already know the name is taken??
