It's funny that you haven't read the OP (can't blame you though, it's as awful as the rest of this thread which you just contributed to.) The OP states that MVP is one of those "fake competitors" and that if "any of the 300 BW pros" were to switch mvp would be dominated by them because he is now an SC2 player and was bad in BW. So no, MVP is not part of the elephant, because according to the OP people who switched to SC2 early on don't count as BW players because they were "bad at BW." Next time please actually read before posting, it makes you look like slightly less of a fanatic.

Well, when they both switched over, MVP was certainly playing better than Forgg. So if MVP doesn't "count", then using Forgg as a way to prove/disaprove the elephant doesn't really work.

Now try reading the OP and realizing how funny you sound.
"You see IM.Mvp and think he's the best Terran. But he's the only legitimate A-team pro (and a mediocre one at that) to transfer over. Nobody else has. Imagine there are hundreds of guys like him, with the same raw ability and mindset."
Well forgg has accomplished more than mvp so he should be dominating right? owait... jk... code A. I await your next "clever" and uninformed argument as you madly mash f5 to see this reply

Wtf are you talking about? Did you even read what I had said?

When MVP switched over, he was already a better player than Forgg. Forgg has been slowing down for sometime. Just because he had won a Starleague 2 years back does not automatically mean he was going to be amazing two years later. It's the exact same thing with Boxer, Nada, July, etc., who were amazing once but by the time they switched over they were mediocre, if no downright terrible, in comparison to the current S class/high end A players.

And how does the OP have anything to do with it? He wrote the OP when Forgg was still technically playing BW... But guess what! When Forgg switched over he wasn't even an A team level player anymore. I don't know if there are hundreds of players like MVP in BW (at the same skill level when he switched) but they're certainly dozens of them.

But every time forgg won a game the elephant was "proved" according to all the imbeciles in this thread, so surely forgg must be awesome! Just because he's getting his ass handed to him by the actual SC2 players now doesn't mean all you BW fanatics have to disown him and shit on him, when he was your knight in shining armor when he was beating code A players. And all this started with someone bumping this thread every time forgg won a game vs some bad code A player, so I guess now it will continue every time he gets his ass handed to him.

Err and where did I say people doing that was a good thing? I didn't like it when Hot_bid bumped, can't say on the other occasions because I don't remember then

And you do realize that by doing stuff like that you just reduce yourself to your level?

Reducing myself to my level eh? I guess I should start reducing myself to someone elses level instead? And yeah of course it was stupid to bump this whenever forgg won, but I feel it's a good thing to now bump it whenever he gets his ass handed to him so that people who bumped it when he won can see how stupid they were acting. Honestly, not only do I think this thread should've died a long time ago, I think it should've been deleted as soon as it was made because the OP and basically the whole thread is just beyond awful and doesn't spark any sort of good conversation.

All it will take is the mild success of one BW player, and the pro-elephant people will say that they're right. It will eventually happen. It's inevitable. That's why I classify it as a coward's opinion.

Hahaha people are still arguing in this thread. Do you really think you are making new points that haven't already been said 50 times? No, you're not so smart that you have a new perspective on this, sorry.

Did you know that SuperNova was a BW pro? He cleaned up ZeNEX and is in Code S RO16, please add that to the spoiler. I love it when people take individual, isolated results and apply it to this thread.

Like when everyone wanted to take forgg's 6-0 w/l in Code A and say he was the GOAT and was going to destroy everyone in Code S blah blahblah.

With that being said, in general, CURRENT BW A-teamers would probably mop the floor with non-GSL finalist caliber players.

I think the money part of the OP is still relevant now..... it's a strange situation. There is more money in the BW because it has been around so long. That money will NOT move over to the SC2 scene until BW comes to an end. It is very difficult for both to coexist with huge contracts and prize winnings.

i´m looking forward to higher level of play in leagues like GSL. I´m also looking forward to a stronger europe or american scene because competition is the only thing that will drive this game forward. thats pretty much how our society works and a competitive game, i guess, doubles that effect.

the outside of korea is building infrastucture for players. set up korean style of training outside of korea. i think this is often overlooked because we have not seen any massive impact in the scene because of team houses. also ive never seen so much professionals in the gaming secene in europe or america as we have today so why should a switch from sc1 koreans destroy just everyone.

if you train as hard as the sc1 players do, which you will have to do in the future, it neutralizes everything someone has done before. yea maybe mechanics and descicion making of sc1 players may be better but this game wont die in 2 years so no one could catch up.

to me this thread is just a "you dont know how hardcore sc1 is so lemme tell you sc2 players are all lazy fools". i dislike this attitude besides all the good points there are to have this mindset.

all it takes is a team in a house with an internet connection and alot of passion and a good work ethic. there can be new talents popping up every second. maybe even a foreigner who can, with the right setup, go over to korea and dominate flash in sc2? why not? maybe someone we already know his name but just didnt had the possibility to focus and play the game enough.

right guys? right?

not?

ok i go back to my corner..

CURRENT BW A-teamers don't have the time to train a lot of SC2 due to BW training, so they would probably get their asses handed to them if they were to actually play SC2 CURRENTLY against any decent Code B player.

Current BW players will not have any good SC2 practice and will get owned by current SC2 pro.
And when they are not in their prime anymore and switch to SC2, BW fanatics will just say that they're not current BW players...

Do you know that Huyn can't even mop the floor against ToD? So much for instant switch and a little practice and dominate the scene eh. Wait let me guess, Huyn is just a washed up BW pro.

Zenex_Treme just beat BW legend Nada and oGsForGG back-to-back.

CURRENT BW A-teamers don't have the time to train a lot of SC2 due to BW training, so they would probably get their asses handed to them if they were to actually play SC2 CURRENTLY against any decent Code B player.

Alot of high level sc1 pros have been caught playing sc2. And seriously practice it aside from bw. its not accurate. Also I think hes assuming they would switch and practice sc2

lol no they won't they'll get owned just like forgg has beenn so far, get real.

i'd hardly say forgg is getting owned.

Last time he won was in code A, yup he's REALLY tearing up the SC2 scene lol. The rest won't do much better.

And as I said before, comparing Forgg to current A-Teamers is stupid. A closer comparison would be MVP

I can see it all now. A year from now flash switches over to SC2, proceeds to get roflstomped, 1eris1: "Comparing flash to current A-teamers is stupid, he never achieved anything, i now disown him as a star because he didn't dominate the Sc2 scene like the awful thread predicted"

You really have no idea exactly how good flash is, do you? Have you ever even watched him play?
