What is definition of "s-class"? I mean, the real, the official, the undeniable definition? S-class is a BW-term and is an unofficial term to denote the highest level BW-player. Players such as Flash, Jaedong and Bisu are S-class. The term is very exclusive and is not given to just any good player - for example, some ppl don't consider Fantasy S-class. In contrast, in SC2, Code S just means the players in that particular tournament. What's the difference between "S-class" and bonjwa? sclass is league of bad players, and bonjwa means good Wait, so Flash, Jaedong and Bisu are bad players? I'm confused now.. flash is bonjwa, jaedong is bonjwa, bisu is bonjwa no issue here What? Bisu was never considered a bonjwa. A bonjwa is a player who dominated the competition for a period of time. As far as I know, the only bonjwas are Boxer, Savior, Jaedong, iloveoov and Flash. S-class just means you're one of the very best players at the time, like top 10-ish or even less(?).

S-Class are the select few elite of the BW scene at a given time. A bonjwa is someone who dominates the scene for a prolonged period of time, being neck and shoulders above all the rest and showcasing a new level of play. While Jaedong and Bisu are S-Class, they're not bonjwas. That title's reserved for the Federers, Jordans and Woods of BW.

I am talking about the players that got the Bonjwa status which is accepted in general in Korea, and for fyi the bw community has had this discussion a million of times before. Just look at old bw thread in bw section.
I am not arguing about the general definition of Bonjwa. What do u not understand?

To me Bonjwa means ice cream. Boxer is no ice cream and is therefor no bonjwa.

I was confused for awhile because bonjwa is word used to call yourself in higher status. Oppose to soin, which is lowering yourself. But i think the term used in sc is reserved only for the top dog, for long period of time. Current bonjwa is flash so that leaves out everyone else.

Your argument of reasoning is astounding sir.
Unless there is governing body of organization like kespa who rules what bonjwa means, the whole word is meaningless. You cant base something on just what majority of people say, because people tend to be stupid. Also there is thing called "loud minority". If 1 people invented new word and later it cought and 100000 people start using it and it made sense then its written into dictionary. Because it IS used, so when Saviors domination left a special taste, was considered different then there was made a word that described it, it cought on, made sense hence it is official.
You may not like, find it stupid or nonsensical but if thousands of other people use it is settled.
