Must have felt good, that he finally went againts any other race than a zerg after Stephano, Elazer, Scarlet and Leenock.
Maybe his macro is not the best, but that unit management is out of this world.

Btw in his last game that sentry that he placed on the bottom right corner at the beggining of the game pretty much stopped like 3 drops. Won him that game.

What I will say is that he showed extremely good PvT. And it may not seem like it, but his PvZ looked a lot better as well. Still shaky, but you could see he was a lot more stable and had a clear game plan. If he can work on that, I don't think a zerg in the Ro8 is necessarily the end of him.

We'll probably get like 5 protoss in the ro8 anyway, so at least he has a decent shot at winning should he get past the next match

Yeah he probably would have beaten scarlett 2-0 if he saw those units flooding across the map kinda unfortunate but he definitely seemed to prepare a smart build that enabled him to survive all the zerg cheese. Glad that he advanced hope to see him get even further.

After watching the Zest vs Scarlett series I will have to say, despite losing he showed some very good games, he held on really well. It was much better than I expected tbh. With all the time he has to prepare until Ro8, I think his PvZ will be more solid than it is now. Well, at far as I know, he showed better games against Scarlett than INno did haha

But his series against INnoVation was really something else. It was so slick, so beautiful, so smooth that it almost felt like it was the 2016 him playing. Granted INno didn't really play well, but Zest just played out of his mind in that series.

He has Katowice to worry about before the ro8 anyway. His group should be very easy for him, the only worthwhile opponents being Bunny, SpeCial, Kelazur, and Snute.

So I just noticed that Zest is only 200 wcs points away from tying his total from last year and it's not even the end of February yet. Who knows what kr sc2 will look like after this year so I really hope he can make it to Blizzcon this time.

getting Dark is so rough but tbh between soO and Dark, there's no easy way out. Hopefully he can channel some of that SKT slayer on the tournament day

So Zest plays tomorrow in the open bracket. His group isn't too bad. Only player I'm a bit worried about is Bunny who's really good right now. He's #3 terran on kr ladder right now at 6.8k mmr.

Zest has by far the easiest ro64 group. Very good chance against the terrans anyway. The zergs may pose a threat but no particular stand outs are in the group other than Snute (who he likely never meets)

Yeah! I really hope he will be able to qualify. I am still a bit affraid by Bunny, Special and Lambo. Bunny is playing quite well right now and Special is always able to do something great. Lambo is a Zerg so he could always be a problem. I just hope that he won't go to the looser bracket because he could meet Zerg players there.

he can't be that bad against Zerg right ? I mean if he has to fear Lambo there is no hope...
