Rogue can be a source of inspiration for Zest going forward. Rogue made it to Blizzcon in 2015 and got all the way to the semi finals. Then last year he was terrible finishing with only 1025 WCS points which was 29th among Koreans.
Rogue was in the same group with Zest for season 1 code S last year. He was eliminated without taking a map and never had to play Zest. He lost to Journey 2-0 and Taeja 2-0.
This year he bounced back, has been dominating ladder and with his recent win in Shanghai he is in contention to make it to the world championships.
You know where Innovation was ranked last year? 31st! Only 800 WCS points. Now this year he is back on top.
Unfortunately there are no big tournaments or even small ones for Zest to play in right now to take advantage of his current form. He doesn't have SSL challenge until next week against Rogue and then plays Byun a week later.
Wouldn't it be nice if Zest was voted into GSL vs the world? Just saying, I voted for him.
When Zest is on his game it is a beautiful thing to watch.
7K MMR is absolutely sick! To get that high you have to be winning 2/3 of your matches against players with MMRs 6500 and up. That is insanely hard to do on the Korean ladder.
Rank 1 and 2 on the ladder. Indeed it is a sad time for him to peak but better late than never. Zest usually peaks until he gets an embarrassing loss anyway (like last year when he picked both ryung and taeja for his gsl group then lost them)
The GSL vs the world 1st rd matchups are frustrating. You have 2 PvP matches(Hero v Stats-sOs v Neeb) and 4 mirror matches out of the 8. Why are the 2 best Protoss players in the world playing each other?
Why are not all the matches Korean vs foreigner? In addition to Hero vs Stats you have Kelazhur vs Special. If it was Hero vs Kelazhur and Stats vs Special for example it would be all Korea vs foreigners and you would have one less mirror match.
If Showtime loses to Soo(Most likely) only 2 of the final 8 will be Protoss players.

I wonder if there's going to be another GSL Super Tournament this year, if yes then I sincerely hope that Zest can qualify and do well in it to just shut the naysayers and haters up.
Also ShoutCraft will be on on the 13th, hopefully Zest is invited again

If you follow, there is a ceremony where they do the lottery to decide the bracket. So please dont say like the current matchups is decided because organizer do that.
