Once EU Zergs can beat a top Korean Protoss/Terran, then I will believe the cries of imbalance. Which is not to say that there is not any imbalance (current map seems pretty Zerg favored) but rather that it is not the sky-is-falling emergency that forumgoers are making it out to be. In any case Jonkoping should give us a better picture.

Note that EU has always been Zerg dominated and only Showtime really excels as Protoss. And also note that foreign Terrans have never really been great.

Sounds like the rivalry's mostly in your head. I too enjoy Zest beating INnoVation, but that's just because I enjoy every Protoss beating every Terran.

That's what a rivalry is. Why else would a Yankee fan hate a Red Sox fan? New York is so much bigger and the Yankees so much more successful. But because the Red Sox hate them they hate them back in return.

Another quote from the Stats vs Innovation match. Tasteless said that the script for the match must have been written by the guy who wrote little Giants.

So Innovation is big and bad and Stats the little Protoss that could? That should breed all the animosity you need. You make the case for a rivalry with every Terran.

That's not a rivalry, that's my personal preference of Protoss over Terran. And it certainly has nothing to do with Zest and INnoVation.

Zest needs to win on Toronto is he wants the confidence to take on GSL next season. His hopes of getting blizzcon pretty much rely on him getting finals

This is my last post on this topic. Perhaps some people are having trouble with the English language and do not know what the word means.

The definition of RIVALRY.

Noun

competition for the same objective or for superiority in the same field.

It's not complicated! In addition I have given numerous, NUMEROUS reasons these 2 can be called rivals or why a Zest fan might consider Innovation a rival. They do not have to hate or insult one another. We do not need their permission to consider them rivals.

They do not have to be mirror equals. I even gave an iron clad example of that. Alabama vs Tennessee.

I mentioned the teams they used to play for who were without question RIVALS.

I apologize for being thorough. Apparently there are no rivals in Korean esports since Savior vs firebat hero.

It's all in my head.

Zest did not lose to any foreigners he lost to Keen. He did manage 2, 2-1 wins over Soul and No regret. Less than impressive.

If he meets Keen in the final and beats him we can say he is close to back. A loss to Keen would be 4 straight to that player. Ouch!

Of course ladder would be different, playing online from home vs traveling to Canada and playing a land tournament. Perhaps he needed a day to shake off the jet lag but Keen would have had the same issues.
