Tbh 2019 can eat a bag of dicks. Let's hope next year is significantly better. PS. TSG flair when? PPS. Hope Stats gets an invite to WESG. But looks like one is reserved for Serral

Let's have four players qualify from northern Europe alone at not have Serral be one of them. (And only three from Korea). Sigh On November 30 2019 22:34 Xain0n wrote: Man, that was online Stats. You never know but one has to hope that the Classic affair cleared some things up and that these players now know how to handle the bureaucratic side of things.

The bracket, on the other hand, is brutal.

That mech game on eternal empire was really fun, and also showed how difficult is is to play with two siege units at the same time. The bracket, on the other hand, is brutal. Will he ever defeat Dark?

Yeah. But not while the game is in this state and Dark is as good as he is at the moment.

Game state pretty much just affects how one-sidedly the matches end up in Dark's favor, not whether TY wins or not. When Terran was really favored in 2016 and TY's winrate in TvZ in practice was ~90% he still couldn't beat Dark in their offline matches. That said, it would be infinitely easier for TY if the loser bracket got changed and he plays the winner of Armani-Zest. Cause frankly speaking, I don't believe that a Dark who can even beat Rogue would lose to TY. Even with the new patch throwing in some variables that might be in TY's favor. I don't think he can eek out the upset here. Players in the losers bracket are more favorable for him, but I'm not sure he can beat Trap like this again, was a bit of a strange series.

And yes, that Dark beats Rogue pretty much confirms that he is still in beast mode and on top of the world. Fully expect the 3-0 loss for TY unless Dark gets arrogant, which could lose him a map. Damn those tournament planners, it makes no sense that TY is going up against Trap/Rogue again. It did seem like Trap made the bigger/more mistakes in the series today, even though TY also lost a map by not having his tanks sieged.

Don't think a potential rematch would ever look like this.

AND - they switched around the bracket so he if he can take down Zest/Armany, we're in!

Armani really struggled with Maru's BCs and hellions opening btw. He went reasonably close to defeating Dark, Armani shouldn't be a problem. TY needs a korean title, let's hope he wins a Code S in 2020!

Armani looked really out of his depth against Maru's mech and BC play indeed. But TY should take him 100% serious nonetheless. Not worth risking an upset with some sort of 360-no-scout 3 CC on 1 rax play or something. Would be cool if the original WESG champion made it back in finally. He's had a rough patch with these qualifiers since 2016. And it's always good to have TY in more events. Losing that game 3 on Nightshade probably hurts the most, that one at the very least seemed winnable for a long time. In game 5 he put up a strong fight from really far behind.

We all know that WESG is Korean terran payday so with the circle completed with Innovation's win last time, it should now start over with a TY victory this time PS. Very happy to see that TY is starting to get hi-sec and building armor, even if he only does so after 20 mins.
