To those who know avilo - his fans, his viewers, I was sent this rather misleading tweet today:

Obviously, we know that avilo never told this person to "kill himself;" however, that is what was implied. Even those people in chat, who made derogatory comments about the above named person were warned to stop by both mods and avilo.
Insulting another streamer/person so as to damage his reputation is strictly forbidden in avilo's chat, as stated in the house rules. We also discourage avilo's viewers from spamming or harassing other streamers. Several of avilo's regular viewers have been banned, when reported with evidence, due to such conduct.
It's just too bad that other streamers and their mods don't adhere to the same policy. So much for community.

Just want to say I appreciate what Avilo has done and is still doing for the community. It sucks that he gets so much hate but props to him and Arkansassy for keeping their head up! Personally, I watch Avilo because its awesome (and really funny) every time he wins vs protoss, and each loss he does a good job explaining what went wrong. Best thing he showed us was his raven-viking vs carrier micro. That's one of the few things a viewer would have no idea whats going on unless he broke it down and explained it step by step, its helped my late game PvT a lot.
And probably the highlight for the stream entertainment wise was when Avilo won vs a protoss, someone on stream said something along the lines of... Calm down Avilo you won one game....
And then Avilo was like....
"wow, you know what I say to that?"
"you know what I say to that motherfucker???"
and I was totally expecting some flashy ban
But then he goes on spotify or grooveshark or whatever, and starts playing "Celebrate(good times cmon!)"
And was totally chill about it and was like, dude I just beat PROTOSS! You gotta cherish each and everyone of these things!!!

Sadly, I think a lot of people become jerks after becoming famous and successful. You see it all the time with hollywood stars, and esports is really no different if you think about it.
I'm glad that his actions did incite such a negative reaction from the community, even from many people who aren't Avilo fans. Gives me some faith in the community.

That may be what you call criticism, but its certainly not constructive. RuFF is an asshole and deserves every single thing that he got the moment he shit on somebody for having a disease.
