Ok, I understand your point, I just thought, that the amout of prize money won should be an indicator for the strengh of the line-up. And from this point of view, Fenix didn´t get weaker, just because he earned his money as part of another team.
Update: Mvp, Nestea, Happy and Losira are all in the running for GSL October. Nestea, Mvp and Losira are in the running for Arena Of Legends. Nestea and Mvp are in the running for Blizzcon 2011. Cross your fingers that the IM expeditionary squad will hit MLG Orlando/ Providence!
Update: Mvp and Nestea both advance 1st in their respective groups. Sadly only one of them can advance to the finals as they face off in the Ro8/Ro4. They are still both going to Blizzcon 2011 though!
We need to come up with a special name for Nestea vs MVP matchs. Because although they have met several times before, there going to be meeting a lot more.
- With no other koreans there, at Blizzcon there very likely to come head to head. - With both comming top of there group and on the same side of the bracket there pretty likely to meet this GSL, not to mention many other future ones. - With IM creating a foreign expeditionary squad we can expect them before to be going overseas at somepoint.
Not only this but Nestea vs MVP matchs may actually define who will hold the claim of being the greatest player of all time in vanillia starcraft 2. Think about it. They both hold 3 GSL's and with heart of swarm comming out they'll just have about a year to cement there legacy.

I kind of want to agree with you, but TvZ is probably MVP's best matchup, where as its NesTeas worst. When you put 2 players of that skill level together the one who specializes in killing the other will win.
Between the two though NesTea is the smarter, more clever player. Where as MVP is the more solid, understands 100% player.

I think Losira needs an epic MLG run and maybe an all kill or 2 in GSTL before he get noticed enough by Gom for a seed. He's still consistently good he's just not finding that inner star power he had around this time last year. He should be able to make it back into at least code A on his own although code A this season is going to be brutal as all hell.
Speaking of code A I'm hoping to see at least Yoda and YongHwa make it through the qualifiers this weekend assuming they applied.

( title) [GSTL Hype] I believe in Incredible Miracles
It's GSTL season again my friends and this time LG-IM-SK will be the ones holding the trophy at the end. Alphabet soup name aside things are looking good for the original GSTL winners and their plus one.
Why I believe
Incredible Miracle is no stranger to getting team league results. 2011 GSTL 1: 1st Going 13:6 in maps overall. GSTL 2: 2nd Going 12: 6 in maps overall. Partnered with Quantic at the time they were the Champions of the first ever IPL team arena challenge and IM players contributed 15 of the teams eventual 20 map wins.
IM has proven in the past that they know how to wield their team's roster in a such a way as to secure victory. "Winners win" as the saying goes and IM know how to be winners. MC for his part delivered a fair number of wins for oGs during his time with them.
In addition to this LG-IM-SK has 5 players in code S and 4 in code A. From relative new comers like First to old hats like MVP the team is firing on all cylinders and their momentum is undeniable.
The Miracle workers
YongHwa has long been "that guy", the one who can't make it into code A to save his life but who brings it home in the team leagues. A good all rounder YongHwa seems to be comfortable no matter where in the lineup IM places him and currently sits at a record of 22-12 in team leagues for them. A solid protoss with a bag of tricks hidden up each sleeve, we're bound to see some entertaining games from YongHwa this season.
Losira is a code A winner, code S runner up and an all killer of Zenex and NSHS. The famous catzerg is a damn good teamleaguer and one of IM's most reliable players. Losira is usually played later in a series either as a vZ sniper or because it's time to bring out the big guns and his 18-8 record shows he rarely disappoints. A more aggressive zerg than his mentor Nestea, Losira is not afraid to take the fight to the enemy and that usually means some banelings right in your face. Drop play, nydus play, macro or cheese, Losira can do everything, all the while grinning like the Cheshire cat. Should he feel like it Losira may also grace us with a ceremony be it in game or outside the booth. He can be adorably BM when he wishes although that has gotten him into trouble before.
While he can hold his own in individual leagues Losira is a staple of IM's team league roster because he's equally solid and dependable there.
Yoda is yet another of IM's players who can pull out the all kill and isn't afraid to be aggressive and creative. With a 22:13 record he's the team's most dependable Terran. Some may not approve of his tendency to play risky or all-in but it gets the job done and that's what counts. Like YongHwa, Yoda fits into the lineup just about anywhere.
Rounding out the regulars is Happy. A fairly solid Terran he is often referred to as mini MVP. Of the four horsemen on IM's regular lineup he has the worst record at a mere 16:14. Nevertheless Happy sees frequent play and rarely goes out before taking someone down with him. Happy has great TvZ just like his mentor and adds to the teams ability to snipe zergs with relative ease. Lately though Happy has been turning even his worst matchup vT into something thats no sweat. Slayers own TvT sniper Ryung fell to him in last season's code A and endangered elephant fOrGG was dispatched quickly thereafter.
As Khaldor recently learned you can never count this former code s semi-finalist out. When put in tight spots Happy stays calm under pressure, lulling you into a false sense of security before almost inexplicably reversing the situation. A player who doesn't hesitate to capitalize on his opponents flaws Happy is stronger than his record shows.
Never doubt the heart of a champion
MVP
Over 300k in winnings, 4 Code S titles, champion of WCG, MLG Anaheim and Blizzcon, MVP is the most highly skilled and successful player to date. While his body continues to try and fail him MVP remains strong, always finding ways to push through and win when it really counts. MVP can get the job done if he's fielded and sheer intimidation factor is likely to help against anyone he faces. MVP has more builds and tiny variations there of than any player bar MKP and facing him is incredibly difficult. Few players have proven they have the skill to pick apart his brain, fewer still can do it on the fly. Good builds and great decision making will be MVP's key strengths this season and with them we will see just how much of his old unstoppable self can be brought to bare.
Nestea
Nestea is the only player to have never missed the start of a code S season, he has been in the GSL since the very beginning and refused to falter like so many others have in the past. A 3 time code S champion he is also one of those players who understands how to eke out little advantages and turn them into dominating victories. Nestea's greatest weapon is his mind, he is incredibly good at reading his opponents, at using mindgames and choosing the best build or strategy for a given situation. Most players would never use mass contaminate to halt production in a ZvZ and turn a losing battle in their favor. Most players would never come up with rushing lair so they could creep drop and plant spines to kill a FFE. Nestea wins unwinnable baseraces with a handful of mutas and burrowed banes. He sees something others simply cannot and his consistency is due in equal parts to his physical ability to perform insane tasks and his mind's ability to process everything that must be done for his plans to work.
Nestea is a smart and solid* Zerg and he knows it, as do his opponents which like MVP gives him an intimidation factor. Given that he's been doing rather well lately with third places at both IPL4 and Iron squid I'd say any appearances by Nestea should give his opponents serious cause for concern.
* Zergbong moments don't count as those appear to be some sort of uncontrollable supernatural phenomenon to balance out how unfairly awesome Nestea is.
MC
The boss toss is back! Fresh off his first American tournament victory and looking good SK.MC is going to be the one to beat. Like his brethren above MC is a multi time code s champion. A man who could likely plaster his apartment walls with giant checks is not one to be underestimated. MC is one of those players dangerous because they are the complete package. In a long macro game he can multitask with the best of them, attacking from multiple fronts while harassing with warprisms and forcing his opponents into making fatal mistakes. He can also all-in like pro and ignores any flak he gets for doing so because a win is a win. It has been said that MC has an eye for the weaknesses of others and that he simply knows when to strike. In addition to that MC cannot simply be mimicked, the protoss president has stellar control that allows him to pull off risky builds which would be suicide for a lesser player.
MC will be looking for weaknesses every time he enters the booth in the GSTL and there is no such thing as a flawless person.
Not to be forgotten
IM has a large stable of players that may or may not get seen this GSTL season. Seed is back in code S for the second season in a row and looks to show his skill both there and in the GSTL. having recently defeated MVP's Finale, Keen. Sniper and Monster in the KSL there's no doubt that Seed is one to watch should Coach Kang feel the need to use him. True & Horror are IM's lesser known zergs which is unfortunate as they usually put up solid performances when called upon. Ready, First and Dreamertt as well are all going to be sitting on the bench eagerly awaiting their chance to shine. Each has contributed a few wins in the past during one team league or another and are decent players in their own right. They lack the consistency and notoriety of those featured above but there's no time like the present to change that. With so many strong players vying for air time you can be assured that when the coach chooses to field one of these guys it's because they are more than prepared to show why they deserve to be the one defending their team's honor.
One last thing
No team is complete without a coach. Kang Dong Hoon's decsions may not always be what fans would like but he knows his players better than we do. Coach Kang was responsible for leading IM to victory in the past and he can do it again. With IM having just gained a big new sponser in LG and being partnered with SK a lot is on the line right now. I think we will see very carefully crafted lineups this season with every player's full potential being utilized. Somewhere in Coach Kang's mind is the key to victory, we need only have faith that he will choose to use it.
LG-IM-SK is a team with a lot of talent, a lot of depth and an unprecedented amount of star power at it's disposal. With all they have going for them victory in the upcoming GSTL is assured!

I think you should mention Happy as a possible TvZ sniper. He has a winrate of 75% against koreans only. He gets way too less credit for his TvZ and insane splits.
Also you should mention Seed in his own section. He is now the second season in a row in Code S I believe.
The lineup of IM is very deep and the team has been together for over a year now. They have more experience in playing together than most other teams. In GSL Season 3 there are more players in Code A / S than ever before as far as I know, the team is on the rise.
You could mention that First is a former successful BW pro who recently switched and already put up results in the KSL for IM.
Just updated with some more formatting and coach section. I will add the TvZ thing for Happy shortly.
I originally had Seed as a miracle worker but he actually has a lot less playtime than the others. I do think he's awesome I'm just not sure what to say about him. If I could find the right words everyone would have a few sentences since they are all integral to the success IM has had.
Updated again with a couple changes in various places. I'm going to give it a few hours for people to suggest some other adjustments and then I'll make a thread. Thanks to everyone who made helpful suggestions and gave their thoughts.

3/4 IM players moved on to round of 16 this season, not a perfect record but still impressive and good for the team's image after the GSTL dismantlings they faced. Not much else happening for the team till around the 26 when code a picks up and ro16 code s begins.
* Although Seed and Losira are currently still alive in the KR TSL4 qualifier so that could yield some nice results.
TSL4 points update time Seed: 121 First: 100 Losira: 52 Yoda: 21 Not too bad thus far and there are 3 qualifiers left for everyone to gather points during.
* Kinda hoping the trend continues and next time YongHwa makes it to the finals. IM protoss fighting!
In gsl news I hope MVP, Seed and Nestea can avoid each other in ro16, I hate teamkills so much.

Yup the big three of IM streaming, their top Zerg Protoss and Terran ( although Losira might be better than nestea these days It's hard to tell when he's stuck in code yonghwa )

Now seems like a damn good time for an update on the state of IM, as always there be spoilers below.
So Seed makes it to the gsl finals in spectacular style and almost qualified for TSL 4. he looks strong, adaptable and will probably only continue to grow as time goes on. YongHwa took second at homestory cup and looked really good doing it. Maybe someday he'll qualify for code A ^-^ First qualifies for TSL4, gets a 3kill in tac3 and finishes 3/4 at the MLG arena, qualifying easily for pool play at the championship. Losira gets 5/6 at MLG arena, qualifying for pool play and a double kill in tac3, kittyzerg looks strong if a bit oldschool. Nestea makes ro8 in code S and looks to be coming back into himself. MVP survives OSL dual tournament Dreamertt qualifies for wcs korea nationals. Happy qualifies for wcs korea nationals * IM also gets to send a player to IPL5 for doing so well in the tac3,
By all accounts IM as a whole is doing really well and if this keeps up they may (outside the gstl ) become the most feared team again. I still think they need a new foreign partner though since the thing with Quantic fell apart.
Horror now also qualifies for WCS korea nationals taking down MKP, shuttle and asd in the process. WTF is IM feeding their players right now? A nice try by YongHwa also today in wcs but he went down to leenock. Nestea and Ready still in the running though ^-^ Come on IM take as many spots as you guys can.
IM going to the TAC3 grand finals in San Francisco courtesy of Losira's 4-kill and MC being a PvP boss. I'm not sure they can be stopped at this point as long as everyone stays in good condition.
We still don't know who they are sending to ipl 5 yet. Honestly my vote is split between Losira and Seed, Seed has been showing the superior individual results but Losira is destroying tac3 for them and showed at MLG that he's in good shape in indivudal stuff as well. No matter who they end up picking IM will be well represented given how strong the whole team is right now.
I'll see if I can get some cute cheerfuls done in time for the TAC3 grand finals to show off in thread. Any ideas of what you guys would like to see?
IM are looking fantastic lately, I think I'm becoming a fan. Between all their WCS qualifiers and IPL TAC and suddenly IM Protoss players being a "thing" they're doing their best to win me over.
And yeah, really interested who they might pick to send to IPL5. Nestea might want revenge for his 3rd place and I feel IM will still much prefer send a big name over a smaller one. Probably between Seed, Losira and Nestea though I think Seed is the better choice given recent form. I also think they really need to keep MVP at home and force him to go heal, but I worry they'll send him anyway.
I assume having champions of all three races means IM has now proven their worth to the PTB and can unleash their ultimate weapon of destruction ( apparently Yoda) at full strength next season. God I am so fucking happy for them even if the finals was kinda bleh from a viewer perspective.
Also this puts pressure on Nestea to win gsl next season so they can keep doing back to back championships which would be awesome.

I am so sad I didn't get to see Happy play, but so damn pleased about Seed , First and Losira bringing it home for IM. This is the second time they have been all killed in a TAC grand final and then gone on to win 5:3 in the second best of nine.
IM's lone representative First carries on in TSL4 to face Sting in the round of 8. He's got a busy few weeks ahead preparing for that and then off to MLG summer championships with Losira.
We should have no shortage of IM players running around wracking up impressive results in the months to come.

Today we had our showmatches and signature hour with MVP, Nestea, Yonghwa and the LG booth in Hall 10 of Gamescom 2012.

I like to see them accomplishing their goal at IEM, getting their faces out there even with silly stuff like the Rock-Paper-Scissors, and the awesome stuff like autograph signings in their booth. Nice to see Korean teams embracing the foreign fans.
So we have Seed cruising through wcs korea and facing Parting tonight, that should be interesting.
We also have First and Losira this weekend at MLG summer championships, unfortunately due to seeding they are in the same group so we can't have them both winning a group . It will still be good to see them again though and I'm hoping to see some impressive games from both.
Not a bad finish for Seed in WCS and First can't do worse than top 6 at MLG. Losira a bit underwhelming at MLG this time but we'll see if catzerg can't work some magic tommorrow.
Happy to join Nestea, MVP, Seed and Yoda in code S next season. IM has a good shot at getting a third championship in a row during season 4 if everyone brings their A game.
Rejoice IM fans, we managed to not end up with a teamkill in the first round of code s this time. Everyone has diffcult looking groups but I have faith that we can prevail and advance with everyone into the ro16.

IM looking good for this GSTL season and I really hope they can at least get past the preliminaries, I want my old unstoppable team of doom back again.
Not doing too bad code S wise either with Seed and Happy getting through and MVP and Nestea yet to play. I'm sure Yoda will be back to win next season. Although it's a longshot I'd actually kinda love to have an IM vs IM grandfinals again just for the mindgames and hilarity of it all.
Start off with First everytime, this guy is the real deal, he'll be a Code S champ soon. Then you can throw Happy, Mvp, MC, Seed, Younghwa out to basically finish it. Then you've got NesTea, Yoda, LoriA and so on if you ever really need them.
It looks like I need to get some cheerfulls prepared for the next gstl match, good to see IM stomping around like they own the place again. Now we just need IM to send players to a dreamhack damnit since that's one of the few big name trophies they are missing.
Sadly just Happy, MVP and Seed moving on but I'm sure one of them can take it this season.
With regards to code A qualifiers thus far: First qualifies again beating reality YongHwa loses in the finals again ! ( Seriously why must this keep happening to him?) He's probably extra unhappy losing to Baby. True lost to bogus in the semis

IM guaranteed to have at least MVP in code S next season. If he can summon his full inner power we may yet also see IM claim the championship for the third time in a row.
With team leagues also going well and YongHwa winning the WCG Korea finals it looks like the year should finish up looking pretty rosy for them.
I am actually really curious about how the eventual switch over to Hots will effect things for the team. So many IM players have very unique playstyles that will have to be altered, hopefully resulting in even better and more interesting games.
Nicely done by First and to be fair Horror didn't really play that badly in the game he lost either. I'm pretty sure IM can take down TSL and 3-0 their group.

Team IM continues it's reign of terror in the IPTL taking down TSL with True and DreamerTT showing their skills and taking all the kills. Amidst all the sadness and doom going around regarding sc2 and various teams it's good to see IM producing consistent results and not having any real drama of their own.
Tonight Seed and Happy attempt to regain code S, both playing mirror matches so expect some interesting PvP and TvT.
If one of them makes the finals again that would be insane, that would mean 4 out of the 5 GSL finals in this entire year will feature a IM player.
Also, I think a big announcement is coming soon regarding the LG sponsorship. The 6 month period they announced back in April is about to be up.
Hopefully with the results the boys were able to achieve since then LG will become a permanent sponsor.

GSTL tomorrow. :o As always I am extremely worried, but they've beaten Startale in the IPL team leagues at least twice recently. But this is the toughest team they are going to face... I hope they pull through.

Honestly IM is still a very strong and skilled team, Dodgin's post shows the results they've put up in the last little while I don't think a single gstl loss should be a huge setback to the moment they have going.
After reading this it made me want to re watch the GSL open season 2 finals, the emotion from both players after the final game was so great. don't usually see both players crying after the finals these days.
Not exactly the greatest results lately for the team, GSTL loss, First bombing hard at MLG, only Yoda making it through in code S. Every player has their ups and downs but it's weird how in sync all of IM can be sometimes. I'm sure by the time the new year rolls around they'll have everything sorted out again also maybe if we are fortunate Yonghwa will qualify for code A this season. That's a thing which is possible.. right.. please !
Naturally in response to my last post Losira , Yonghwa, First and Nestea qualify for code A because they are just that awesome. I hope they have a party at the team house tonight, and Yonghwa gets teased to death over finally making it.
Looking at who they have to play, I think It's very likely IM will go 6-0 in the ro48, Seed gets his best match up against a weaker player, NesTea gets to play someone who likes to do early game shenanigans and Yonghwa will beat everyone so he can become the last WoL GSL champion next year.
Also, Yoda Seed and Mvp will be going to IPL5. Yoda was announced as the IM IPL TAC3 invite earlier today.

Potentially, 8 players. That's of course extremely unlikely to occur but it would set a new record if it did. I believe the current record is 6 players from the same team in Code S in the same season.

Well Yoda and Seed have at least both made it into the money even if they are both in the losers bracket now. Yoda took down Squirtle and DRG and put up one hell of a fight vs polt. Even if an IM member doesn't win this thing I'd say the guys have done ok for themselves. Here's hoping for even better performances as the tournament wears on though.
Mvp, Yoda, First and YongHwa are each one series win away from securing code S for next season. Nestea, Losira, Byul and Happy, face the up and downs. If all goes well we could have 8 IM players in code S next season and Seed will be demoted to Dishwasher
I'm also really excited for Hots to come and shake things up, I want to see what sort of team IM morphs into in the new game and if their players lead in developing the metagame again.

Awesome chance there too. Before, only startale was really a team with as high caliber of players. With their loss of parting and squirtle their threat level has drastically diminished.

First should do okay in his group based on who's in there so far. I really don't like Yoda's chances vs the zergs in his group and I am also angry at him for beating Losira in the qualifiers ( Yes I have favorites even with my favorite team). Still I hope they both do well for their sake and for the glory of IM.
I'm really happy that IM isn't losing any players. I feel like they won't too. Mvp and NesTea are too loyal and making a good salary on IM while their other players are not really famous enough to demand significantly more than what they're currently making.
Oh yeah and First or Yoda will win IEM, if they can defeat Parting that is. Nestea proved it was possible though!
Speaking of Nestea, I'm really surprised and happy that he has done so well in Iron Squid, seems like he's back to a good form.
Please add the 2nd place at GSL Season 4 2012 Code S under Mvp's achievements. I think 2nd place GSL is worthy of his long list of achievements, even if it was only a silver (and by only 1 game too).
And there's 2 more players for each group determined by the open bracket. If you ask me that makes the groups easier for our boys as the open bracket doesn't look particularly formidable.
Under Mvp's accomplishments, Mvp took 2nd place in the GeForce Pro/Am (losing to MMA in the finals), not 1st place. Also, 3rd place at the NVIDIA Gaming Festival 2012 should be added.
Both Yoda and First performing well at IEM so far ^-^. There's a chance that they could meet in the finals which would be amusing although I'm not sure who I'd want to win then.

Fenix, First, MVP, Nestea, Yongwha and Seed have all won live tournaments. And 14 IM members have played at live events so not quite, but if one more does... I'm looking at you losira!!!
Ladyumbra is right! Code a should count, Losira did win that so yeah half have won. As about Hong Duk, I have never seen him either.

Pretty much, IM has 14-15 active players right now depending on if you count hong duk who I don't think we've ever seen play but who has been mentioned before. They have seven players who've won tournaments ranging from code a back when that counted, code s, two different IEM's, an mlg, EWM ( korean weekly cups), wcg korea , etc etc. Approximately half the team has won some tournament or another at this point. ^-^ IM has a lot of talent
edit: You can also say they haven't quite made it there if you go by lupert's reasoning as well. Regardless they are still impressive as a team and Losira needs to fucking win something big .

I'm sad we didn't get a Yoda vs First finals but proud of both of them for their performances. Amused by seed's LG-IEM comment on twitter. They've now won it with a terran and a protoss, they need a zerg to take one eventually. With Mvp, Yonghwa and First at the Iem world championships Im should have good representation there.
IM had better not lose any sponsors and needs to stay together. I hope they get their players to stream more often in the future as well. Hell once hots rolls out and stuff is global they could do silly team games with fans a few hours once a week or something.

If Squirtle is joining I don't see how they could possibly be in trouble, to leave startale and his salary there he must either be offering them more or offering him the same with a better training environment.
After dropping the first map he played, First went on a 17 game winning streak winning the whole tournament with 19-2 record. Including qualifiers, he went 27-3. GG First!

Mvp's first opponent is KeeN, a fellow Korean Terran. KeeN is an odd one; he seems to be a good Code A to Code S level Terran who can occasionally surprise people by beating high profile players. However, the statistics show that Mvp is simply superior to KeeN in TvT. In fact, TvT has been the match-up of Mvp that never really degrades and there are no balance issues with TvT to worry about. Generally speaking, Mvp can be counted on to be pretty consistent in this match-up, and the main people he loses to are MMA (but not anymore) and TaeJa when TaeJa is hot.
Mvp's recent form has looked worrying with his worst night ever at Blizzard Cup 2012 and a 0-3 loss to goswser, but those are TvP and TvZ. He has still won 7 of the last 10 TvTs and KeeN beating Mvp would truly be a big upset at this stage. I'll go ahead and say that Mvp takes this 2-0.

RorO ZvT Lifetime: 72.22% ZvT Last 10: 60% Head to Head Record: 0-0
Against RorO, Mvp will certainly have the toughest time. Mvp's TvZ looked absolutely abysmal (0-3 loss to goswser, 0-2 loss to Stephano, and terrible losses at Blizzard Cup 2012) while RorO seems to be fairly good in the matchup. Never count Mvp out, but at this point, I think it's safe to favor nearly any Zerg against Mvp until Mvp gets his TvZ together. The new patch might benefit Mvp though. Still, RorO will be a good test for Mvp because RorO is the type of Zerg that Mvp should beat. If Mvp wants the last Wings of Liberty championship, Mvp will need to compete with the Lifes and DongRaeGus of the world, not the RorOs.
Even though MarineKing has shown superb skill in TvT during 2012, MarineKing will never ever beat Mvp. Ever. I knew I forgot something important >.< But I think First just doesn't have the reputation of Seed, Yonghwa or Squirtle. He had some amazing results, but somehow it just doesn't feel like there is too much hype around him. Nevertheless, the combination of Seed, Squirtle, Yonghwa and First would be so damn op...

I think they will still practice WoL because they will get 6 spots at IPL if they beat EG in the semis of IPTL. Yonghwa already has a spot.

Yup. IM's presence in GSL has been basically smashed to pieces - Losira is still in the round of 16 of Code S, YoDa and YongHwa both made it further into Code A, and NesTea is pending. IM lost more than half their players, and a lot of the most accomplished and generally solid players today. It's a really sad day, and an awful way to end WOL era of GSL, but there's still hope.
So, instead of GSL, we will have to look towards the IEM WC and IPL6. If IM loses to EG and misses out on IPL6, then it's time to get really really seriously depressed. :p
That was a pretty awesome showing by their new blood. Ragnarok's first GSTL appearance for IM and he gets 3 kills and ruin's first game is beating MMA!

Dream is a MVP player. The IM player is dreamertt, he doesn't have much achievement, I would rather mention True who displayed pretty good playstyle at times, and maybe the new player Ruin who has a 1-0 GOM record with the 1 being MMA. IM's player retention rate is amazing, so much talent and yet all their players seem content to stay put.
I hope Nestea goes to IPL 6, I know he hates traveling but he also seems to love how passionate foreign fans are. Plus he got 3rd in iron quid again so clearly he should get 3rd at IPL again if he goes lol.
I think IM is well set up to win the IPTL assuming their players aren't spread out with tournaments all over the place.

Yeah, until recently, with Byul, Ragnorak, Ruin, and Squirtle, they went a really long time with just picking up first and losing practically no one.
So far LG-IM is tearing the IEM SC2 tourney a new one. 3/4 took first in their groups: Yonghwa, Yoda and MVP. Ironically the only IM player not to be first in his group was in fact First. He got 3rd. That means we already have 3 IM players in the top 8 and another in the top 12.
Fun fact, LG-IM is 5 series away from having a LG-IM top 4 clean sweep.

Is it wrong that I'm kinda happy that IPL 6 got cancelled. The fact that no one on IM has to practice Wol anymore for any reason seems better than the team being split into the hots squad and the guys practising for IPTL and IPL

Amazing how well LG-IM seem to have prepared for HotS... First and YongHwa looked unstoppable, YoDa looked great and Mvp... looks like he has been revitalised by HotS.
Little bit of hype and an interesting bit of trivia but if IM gets a top 4 finish that makes 38 total top 4 Premier Tournament finishes and 15 Premier Tournament wins.
They would also have made a whopping $860,000 from SC2 tournaments.

In all seriousness, IM is 6 games away from clean sweeping a tournament. The closest anyone's ever come to doing that is the 2nd-4th by slayers at the MLG Mvp won, the Startale Blizzard cup teamfinals, and the 2 IM teamfinals: Blizzcon 2011 and GSL July 2011.
With Dreamhack just announcing their season I remembered that an IM player has never been to a Dreamhack event, hopefully that will change this year. Dreamhack has always had amazing production but suffered from a lack of very top tier players to legitimize the competition.

In all seriousness, IM is 6 games away from clean sweeping a tournament. The closest anyone's ever come to doing that is the 2nd-4th by slayers at the MLG Mvp won, the Startale Blizzard cup teamfinals, and the 2 IM teamfinals: Blizzcon 2011 and GSL July 2011.
Team MVP also had a Code S finals with DRG v Genius.
60k dollars, all top 4 spots and thus all "trophies" of a tournament, only a single set lost vs a non-IM player (First losing to Ret). History has been made.
I really hope YongHwa wins the whole thing, it would be justice for having give up on his up/down group. Also the entire IM team should just be seeded into code S at this point.
Also we need to being back Hype threads this GSTL season and give IM the most glorious one.
Now that we have dominated IEM is it too much to hope for a repeat performance at MLG? Seed was crazy good in the Hots beta from what I recall and Mvp looked pretty damn solid this weekend.
Seed has Rain first round which will be difficult but doable, Mvp has feast who is often dangerous but inconsistent ( I hope they fly Mvp straight to the states and not back korea and then to texas).

Mvp will wreck Feast easily, if we can take anything from his IEM games It's that he is very strong against Protoss right now.
Mana is a multiple premier tournament winner and one of the few foreigners to make it through the up/down matches in GSL and he brushed him aside like he was nothing.

I am pretty sure Mvp will be flying back to Korea since he will be at the Korean HoTS launch event to play some show matches along with the other star players.
MVP and Polt I think are the favorites of MLG taking into consideration where they are in the bracket and their skill level with HotS. Seed is great, but his part of the bracket is really really hard :/.

That's a little bit misleading for several reasons. For starters, that counts the earning for Squirtle and Fenix from before they joined IM. That's over $70,000.
But to offset that, that site does not include Byul's GSL earnings, which are $1,400 since he joined IM.
Finally, that site does not include any team league earnings. Which from my calculations comes out to $36180 assuming that they split the 6k evenly with Quantic in the IPL TAC 1.

As long as they come with some out of the box strats like they usually do thye should be fine.
Whelp that was a nice run all in all. Catzerg was a little disappointing but we did see some good games out of losira before he went out and he did net himself a nice chunk of wcs points and 5k
Mvp pulled off a lovely run to the semi finals, banked some serious wcs points, TvT master forever cred and 10k which I assume will be wasted on formally changing his name to Jurgen and applying for german citizenship.
IM might not take home the trophy but they did themselves proud and I can only hope they get as good of representation next season.

It's been a long time coming but there is no team that deserves it more. Even the depth of teams such as MVP and StarTale can't compare to the peculiar mix of players that is LG-IM...

I know people say that Tassadar is pretty bad (especially due to his GSTL performance...) However, I don't see how adding Tassadar can actually weaken their Protoss line-up... his addition just makes it even more fearsome.
Besides, imagine staying at the LG-IM training house and practicing with YoDa, KangHo, First, Squirtle, ByuL, RagnaroK, Ruin, YongHwa, and, when they are present, Mvp, NesTea, and MC. There is no question that Tassadar will improve greatly in all of his match-ups.
Also, imagine that YongHwa has a PvP Code A match. First doesn't want to help - he's gotta prepare for Bomber. Ruin is busy training his PvZ for his own Code A match. MC is in Europe. Squirtle is training PvT. That's a situation when Tassadar can really come in handy for LG-IM.
man IM used to be the most stable team with almost no roster changes. I just noticed that out of the 12 players on the front page, only 3 still remain on IM.
I can't help but be skeptical and say this was probably just wishful thinking of whoever in the office runs the page. The timing wouldn't make sense for a Korean team to come back and not play proleague,especially without ESF existing. Unless said come back is nearly a year away, which would be highly unlikely if they said they'll be back today. Or Kespa would allow them to play mid season, which could also be really crazy logistically
