I hope he starts practicing again, because his last games have been lackluster, to say the least.

The second game was an all in by Kas. Kas obviously held, but it kept Kas guessing. The third game was really greedy by Stephano to get his third. By the time Kas realized he was behind, it was too late. I am happy to see that he played Kas like a true 3 game series. He won the first macro game and then went for an all in as he saw how greedy Kas was in the first game. Kas had no idea what was coming in the third game. By the time he realized that Stephano had a third up and operational, it was too late. He was behind on tech, upgrades, and army size was close. The reinforcements and control of his blings were enough to hold of the mid-game agression. The game ended as Stephano had 3/3 + chitinous plating and Kas just finished 2/2.

I don't know about you guys, but i felt for the first time that he was nervous at Dreamhack...must be related to the pressure he must've put himself under to prove that the EG curse ain't true.

I don't think he looked nervous at all. I mean, he won the IPLT series for them followed by WCS Europe. I think what most people saw as nervousness was really the rust coming off of him. He hadn't played in a while and his mechanics were a little rough. He is obviously an extraordinary player, but his mechanics were slightly off.

Absolute shit format as usual for MLG but since Stephano only has to compete against Naniwa, Socke, Grubby, Thorzain, and Ret (based on records against kespa) for the single EU seed, it's actually really beneficial for him. He should be a lock to get a spot in group play for MLG Dallas. No competition from Koreans! 2 spots for NA is a travesty however. This makes it all clear: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_MLG_vs_Proleague_Invitational/Regular_Season

Kas is no way as scary as Korean terrans.Be a Stephano's Infestor is really a tough job ! Sometimes I would like to see specific unit death count. This game for infestors, other games for example for sentries :D.

+ Show Spoiler + vs Kas: Game 1 on Tal'darim: Kas choose to play very macro focus, both players taking 3rd at the same time. Stephano play is not as good as what we used to see from him at msi pro cup. Stephano going for ling/infests/ultras, he take a good fight (not that awesome but good) which lead him to the win even if Kas had already an HUGE amount of tanks and marauders. Game 2 on Entombed Valley: Stephano went for a violet push, failed pretty hard. He choosed to focus the bunker (which did not fall) whereas he could did a great amount of damages with a runby because there was not a full wall-off. Games 3 on Daybreak: B3 at 4min for Stephano, while CC first for Kas, little harass of marines on stephano's 3rd, a queen does fall but not a great amount of damages. Stephano goes for ultras again while Kas goes biotank, despite a very good macro by Kas who put a good pressure on stephano by constantly renforcing, Stephano managed to be very cost efficient with his ultras, and killed kas on the counter. vs Lucifron: Game 1 on Entombed Valley: Lucifron went for classic one rax expand into hellions + banshee cloaked, well defended by steph on 2 bases. Lucifron take 3rd way before Stephano and goes mech. While taking his 4th Lucifron hit Stephano 4th before broodlords are ready, destroy it. Lucifron is way ahead in eco and starte his transition into Ravens. Stephano take his 4th and 5th while Ludifron take his 5th and 6th, both players have a sick army: classic infestors+corrus+broods for steph, mass raven with thors and ghosts for Lucifron (and some hellions, vikings and tanks). Stephano attacks with a very good concave and a-clik, don't try to pslit or avoid the seeker missiles, but the concave made them inefficient, all the army of Lucifron died except a few ravens, 200vs120. With his great eco, Lucifron managed to survive but the next attack killed him. Game 2 on Tal d'Arim: Same opening for both players, but this time Stephano was maybe a bit over-confidnt and took a lot of damages, Steph was 30 supply down and choosed to go hive on 2 bases! Lucifron took his third just before Stephano. The fast tech was a great choice by Stephano his upgrated lings and his infestors allowed him to defend while denying Lucifron 4th with a runby. Stephano went for ultras around 18mins, constantly deny Lucifron 5th, big fight in the middle vs Lucifon's marine marauders tanks and medivacs force, both lost a lot but Stephano managed to keep a few ultras and some infestors. The Lucifron's repop is very very good for a terran, but is not that much compared to the 20 Ultras that stephano produced just after the fight, which lead him to the first place of the group.

Thanks for the detailed summary. Seeing Steph make 19 Ultras at once was a frightening thing to see!
