They finally updated EG's player division page and Stephano's on top. It's a feat because they arrange the line by skill, achievements and PR.

"Offline, his exploits are the stuff of legends—just ask the Swedish police force. With his rockstar personality, hilarious escapades, and abiding love of all things blonde, it’s a small wonder that Stephano is one of the most popular players in all of foreign StarCraft."

Priceless :D

Are you referring to this:
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/MLG_vs_Proleague_Invitational

I can't seem to figure out the format but I'd love to see actual Kespa Proleague players play the MLG players even if it is cross server. I already bought my ticket for $10. You guys know I love Stephano but these Kespa players are going to destroy the 12 NA players. I think Scarlett withdrew another tournament lol (cross server lag excuse)
Heck it was 3-3 kespa vs gom again in GSL code A today with Flash, Mini, and Shy taking out Killer, Naniwa, and Jjakji. So these guys are all basically close to code A or better.

It's pretty much Stephano and 6 Korean GSL players vs. 24 Kespa (including Rain, Flash, JD, etc). Not the fairest odds.

From my understanding from various posts by MLG, the format is 48 players, 24 Kespa, 12 NA, 6 EU, 6 ESF. The 24 Kespa players will play every non-Kespa player. So Stephano will play every single Kespa participant in the Regular Season. Not sure if Bo1 or Bo3. I think he advances to the play-offs if he has the best record (or possibly top two) from the EU players against the Kespa players. The non-Kespa players are referred to as MLG players in this tournament. I don't think the MLG players play each other until the play-off stages.

The Regular season has 8 'Match Days'. Each 'Match Day' the MLG players will play against the Kespa players in their Group. Each Group has 3 MLG players and 3 Kespa players. The Groups switch each Match Day in a round robin schedule to enable each Kespa player to play each MLG player over the 8 Match Days.

The first Match Day (which is tomorrow) has Stephano against Jaedong, Baby and Jaehoon.

So to make things easier to understand, each player will play 3 other players from their group on each of the 8 match days. So 8 groups, 8 match days, 8 x 3 = 24 matches. Your post explains it well - there are no fixed groups, they are more like virtual groups (very confusing).
Stephano vs all of Kespa is amazing.

I love how delusional the average/casual Starcraft fan is:

See, unfortunately jaedong, unless he magically became much better than he was a couple of weeks ago, is nowhere near stephano or naniwa. I think alot of BW fans are going to be pretty pretty disappointed. I'd even say Idra has a better than 40% chance of beating Flash if they played right now.

I would say Jaedong is at least as good as Ret right now.. And I thought he was alot better, but I'm not 100% sure right now

And if Effort can take out DRG a month ago in ZvZ, I wouldn't feel too comfortable with Stephano vs JD even with Stephano's improvement. Jaedong, master of BW micro, somehow held off a 10 pool allin with hatch first in sc2, maybe he used the new drone drilling trick. We haven't seen much of Jaedong ZvZ in sc2 yet.

Stephano plays in the MSI Pro Cup Europe tonight apparently, his group is composed of LucifroN, Ret and Kas, it's played as the GSL format, and he starts against Kas!

MLG posts here at TL.

As you can see I was mostly right. Stephano plays Jaedong, Ty and Jaehoon tomorrow.

With all due respect to Jaedong, he'd still need an insane amount of luck to take one game to Stephano, against his old or his new zvz style or even the old one, I also think Idra has a good chance to beat Flash ( probably in a limited period of time ) and roro and effort are currently way better than JD imo.

I don't have any reliable sources, just my feelings based on what I've seen, so I won't get mad if you disagree =p

Game is starting now. Ret was replaced by Dimaga in the group though.
